Fineli holds his hand up before his, bringing his fingertips together into a point. he focuses intently at the space just above his fingers, and a small orb of energy coalesces there, hovering just above his hand. The orb begins to whirl rapidly in place, and thin streams of energy slide away to spin around it as it turns, crackling with electricity as the tempest begins to take form. The crackling sounds grow louder accompanied by the whistling of the raging air as miniature forks of lightning arc around the spinning fury of the maelstrom, and the tempest swells in size as if wanting to escape Fineli's careful control. As the vortex nears its full potential, though, it seems to waver slightly, then it rapidly spins back into itself as the energy collapses into nothingness.

-Am I the only one that finds this sorcerer guild shit annoying?-

Complaints about the sorcerer guild reps and the length of messaging have been posted before. A better question would be: Does anyone actually LIKE that big old block of text?

The GM that wrote it up is supposed to get on it eventually... until then squelch is your friend.

Does anyone like constant threads like this with no indication about what it is until you open it up and read it, only to find out that it is the same old shit that has been posted a million times before.

Add it to the other threads.

I always feel bad when I have to do reps... :( Not much I can do about it though unless I just don't do t h em, wh ich makes the entire point of the guild moot.

Do you sorcerors acually need other sorcs to watch?

Or can you use anyone?

When I need audience reps for rogue guild I just ask folks to come watch my spectacular skills in a not heavily populated place.

I never have trouble finding watchers.

Just curious.

That's because, and correct me if I'm wrong because wtricks are what I mastered first, that there is a timer placed on each rep you manage to successfully pull off before going for another.

You have to have 6 non-guild people watching, or 3 guild.

Indeed, Stan.

However, the main reason is WARYURS RUL, SORKS DROOL.

Both Rogue and sorc audience reps are the same way.

Rogue is dependant on city for how many audience members you need I believe.

I need 5 non rogue watchers in Haven.

Anyway if you have a lot of reps is it a big deal to ask for an audience like one room over? I would be folks would come...

And I am not bashing Sorcerors... Audience reps are a pain in the ass and you certainly didn't ask to have an essay for a message.

Just a suggestion.

The Sorcerer guild is almost always deserted. A majority of Sorcerers don't bother with the guild skill, since most of them are entirely useless. The only ones that have any sort of use whatsoever are roses (they turn your eyes black, you can use them for cheap PvP [which is borderline mechanics abuse,] and you can put them on top of things to keep non-Sorcs from picking it up,) voids (portable trashcans) and shadows (kind of like temporary disks that don't follow you around.)

Of course, it all works up to demon illusions, which allow you to bring a demon into town without getting arrested. But the fact that so few Sorcerers even use that spell means that few Sorcerers want to put in the mind-numbing work of mastering the skill.

So, no, even if you ask Sorcerers to come and watch you do some audience reps, chances are you would get very little response.

That doesn't mean the park is a good place to do audience reps, however. There are better choices, such as Voln or the crypt, or other hunting rest spots where people tend to go AFK.
