View Full Version : GTK2 Error on Mac/Avalon

Just bought a Mac and trying to get Lich up and running. Basically everything works except things like ;narost. And I can't seem to get lnet thoughts/chat out of the main window and into its own. Here is the error I am getting when trying to use ;narost:
error: ruby-gtk bindings are not installed or failed to load
Thing is, I followed all the steps outlined in the website and gtk definitely installed the first time I did it.
When I've tried going back to re-install, I get a long error message. If it would be helpful to post it, I can do that. But I felt pretty certain that gtk installed properly the first time.
I do have X11 running in my utilities.
I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2
Last question: is there any way to run lich on a Mac other than by opening the terminal and entering the sudo command?
Thanks all.

Might as well post the error log. Here it is:
ERROR: Error installing gtk2:

I have not been able to get it to work. I've been trying other fixes, but will go ahead and give ruby 2.0 a try and see if that works.
