My major concern is with magical protection.
I frequently get killed by magic and one shot hits.
Is there any way with enhancives I can improve my magical attack resistance or something else I am missing?

Where are your CMans?

TD bonus itmes, ensorcellment on armor and or shield, and also possibly wisdom enhancives would be options for you. Also spells. Depending on where you're hunting, getting a few of the right spells can make a substantial difference.

As a rogue who hunts in a spellburst area, TD protection is one of my highest priorities. 401, 406, and 414 (silveries, brights, brilliants) and 101 and 107 (light blues, dark blues) are basic essentials for me, and should be for you. Try to hunt with at least these spells protecting you. It shouldn't be too hard to find other characters who know these spells.
Collect and use scrolls with these spells as well as self-cast TD protection spells.
If you know any paladins, their first spell (1601, Mantle of Faith) can be cast on you for a small benefit.
Good luck.

Thank you. I regularly get the spells you listed, so I guess some of the td hits I will just have to live with.

Look for scrolls with elemental bias (508). Elemental bias items are also often sold at festivals.
Fasthr's Reward (115) is a spell I find on scrolls sometimes, but my luck must be bad - it doesn't seem to help much. Every little bit helps though.
Once or twice every blue moon I find a scroll with cloak of shadows (712) on it. You might find the spell in festival items.
Perhaps once every other blue moon I find a scroll with Melgorehn's aura (913). Good luck though.
If you are incredibly lucky and find a spell shield (219), arcane barrier (1720), or strength of will (1119) scroll, get a sorcerer to infuse it.

Also if you are being killed by a specific spell time and again it may be worth getting back into brig and putting ranger resistant on your armor if it is a damage type thats eligible. 95% resistance is pretty significant, even if only a few people can do it and they charge accordingly.
Though if its a barrage of random CS spells brig is significantly worse in the CvA department than the heavier armors you are trained for.

A rogue's best defense against targeted spells is stealth. If the area you hunt is too difficult to hide in, find another area.

Yeah I'm a bit surprised by no CM. Vanish is essential for any rogue IMHO.

Ranged is pretty CM useless aside from the generic things, but I'd strongly recommend at least 2 ranks of mobility. Because mobility.

I sometimes wonder how I ever hunted without Vanish.

Slippery mind would at least help against CS stuff a percentage of the time depending on armor. I use silent strike exclusively to hunt so I'm ok not having vanish. I would pick it up if I had the points tho.
