View Full Version : McDee's VS BK's
Which is better?
Discuss...
BK's because they have the badass flame-broiled beef.
But above all, my personal favorite would be Arby's, yet alas, I have not been able to find any in the city to satiate my roast beef fetish.

It depends what I'm in the mood for, but I actually prefer Wendy's.
Sometimes, though, I get in the mood for chicken mcnuggets or a mcflurry, so I have no choice. :D
I like McD's burgers and fries making them a complete package and infinitly better than BKs. BUT!! I like wendy's if I want a chicken sandwhich I love the wendys spicy chicken sandwhiches. Checkers is a close 2nd to McD's though for total package. A double champ with cheese is awesome and the seasoned fries are damn good if I want something different.

McD's for their McNuggets. BK for their chicken sandwhich.

BK because their burgers actually taste like food.
And their chicken sandwich pattie things? Disgustingly fatteningly fried. And yummy :)

P.S. I'm sorry if you explained this somewhere else, but what the hell is that dancing in your avatar?

I like Wendy's the best. The spicy chicken sandwich is the best, I agree. The fries are good too if they are fresh.

Acutally, Jack in the Crack is a good fix sometimes on a drunken night. I do dig Jack's Spicy Chicken.
My hubby hearts Jack in the Box, too. My brother-in-law's toast at our wedding, no joke:
"I've never seen my brother so happy, except when there was no line at the Jack in the Box drive-thru."

I'm not a fan of fast food as a rule and almost never eat the stuff. But I'll quote Harlan Ellison re: White Castle...

We have a Burger King about 30 miles away, nothing better than a whopper and large fries, yummy! I think if I was in the US surrounded by all of those fast food places my ass would be twice the size it is now, I wouldn't be able to resist! ;)

I don't know...
The last ad I saw on TV of BK scared the bejeezus out of me. If I woke up the King lying next to me I'd beat him to death and ask questions later. That was just disturbing. <shudders>

The one where the hands accidently touch? Lord, that was hilarious (even though it was also creepy).
HARDEES THICKBURGERS.
Will you people never learn?
BK Lounge for me. Yeah, I even like their fries better. They had tacos for a while, then took them away... :crie:

The best fast-food burger would have to be those angus beef thick burgers from Hardees. But, if I want cheap, I'll go for the dollar menu at MacDonalds.

BK for the burgers, Mickey D's for the fries and nuggets.
I wonder what BK you all go to, my experience has been that BK fries taste like shit. Of course they've improved them a while ago, prior to that they tasted like pure shit.
Has anyone ever had food from Sonic? I see their commercials ALL THE TIME on tv and their food looks really good--yet there are like...none in the entire state of Mass. It pisses me off to no end to see all those commercials.

Other: Sonic or Whataburger
Sonic has this bad ass double cheeseburger with pepperjack and some spicy chipotle suace, but it's only seasonal.
Whataburger lets me get whatever the hell I want. Grilled Onions? 3 pieces of cheese? Jalapenos and a side of grease? Whatever!

My two cents.
Jack in the Box ... Only good at 3 in the morning while on a road trip and nothing else is open. Other than that ... they suck.
McDonalds would be nothing more than mediocre if not for the fries.
Hardies has ok burgers but angus or no ... they're still bland.
White Castle ... I cry because we don't have one within 100 miles.
Wendy's has the best all round menu and you can't beat the taste of actual fresh beef, not the frozen hockey pucks thrown on a hot grill.
BK, best burger available for the price and speed.
Now if BK would serve char broiled Wendy's burgers with McDonalds fries .... That would be the ultimate.
White Castle is possibly the grossest fast food I've ever had. The fact that there is one withing 10 minutes drive of my school yet still drunk/high college students still wont go there for a 50 sack says something about it.

They have jack in the box's down by your way. So unfair. The only time I've been to them was when I visited L.A.. I hear they still have a couple in Southern Illinois. Love the fatty cheese/bacon fries. Haven't had any in years though.
BK--Better burgers
MCD's -- Better fries but some shit ass burgers.
White castle --Ugh. Will relieve constipation if that's what your suffering from.

Actually no Vold. The closest Jack in the box I have seen is in St Louis.
They were only good on road trips when no one else was open.
Back in LA it was Jack in the Crack and In n Out.
Jack in the Crack used to try all these new items, pizza pockets, fajita pita, taquitos, I think they were the first to do sourdough bacon and swiss burgers... and they had those tacos I loved. Deep fried meatpackets with american cheese in a greasy corn tortilla.
Oh yeah, they did breakfasts good too. Criossandwiches. Damn, I think BK has stolen just about every good idea from them.
In n Out has the best fries hands down. Their burgers were good too.
Crap, forgot to hit the topic of breakfasts.
McDs had BK beat for a long time. I loved the Spanish Bagel, or the Ham Bagel. The plain sausage biscuts, even the sausage McMuffin rocks. But now all they have is that maple cake crap. Ralph. McDs still has the better sausage and hashbrown patty. I’ll still grab a hotcake and sausage also.
BK sausage croissant breakfast is what I go for these days. Now they have one where you can double up the meat and cheese. I love the fench toast sticks too.

BK is way better than McD's.
Though my most favorite fast food burger place is. Sonic. Braums has a close second. Then there's Wendys which is a distant third. When I don't want greasy beef theres Arbys Cheedar and Beef sandwiches. I love their Subs too, and their curly fries.

Me too! Where does this Sonic place exist?
Since I am posting I am going to mention Checkers. They still serve chili cheese dogs, have awesome spicy chicken strips, and fries, and a specialty chicken cordon blue sandwich that rocks.
Now I’m thinking again about LA. Carl’s Jr. and Tommy’s.

There is something to be said for some fries dipped in a Frosty from Wendy's though. Yummah!

Carl's Jr all the way (they put more lettuce and pickles on their burgers, which is a bonus for me)..now that I live here in southeast, it's Hardee's.. which for some reason (even though it's the same company), doesn't taste the same.
I miss Jack in the Box.. for their taco's, after a late night out....:drunk:

If I'm dropping money on Kobe beef ... It's going to be a steak.
A burger is a burger. I've had a Kobe burgers and dogs; they're both over rated and over priced.
The place I prefer is about an hour away and I always stop there if I'm going to Indy or anywhere else along I-74. Originally it was a family spot called Schroeder's. They bought into the Burger Chef chain in the 60's and changed the name back shortly after Hardee's bought out the Burger Chef franchise.
It's always immaculately clean and the food beets the hell out of any other chain. Unfortunately it's in Danville and the area it's in is going bad. O’Leary’s pub, a Danville landmark with the quant rail caboose attached, moved to the north side of town after like 60 years. Lee's Famous recipe is in danger of closing down with Pizza Inn close behind. It's rather sad.

I have had a Kobe beef burger and it was good. It was a business lunch and I wasn't paying the tab, so I can't recall if it was worth it. I think it was like $30 Cdn for the burger as well.
