View Full Version : 730 Critters - Defensive Spells

Hey, I'm wondering if we can start compiling of list of critters and their useful defensive spells that have been found around Elanthia.

I'm really curious if there's any critters out there that cast Rapid Fire, for example. I've found some useful spells from creatures around RR including Thurfel's Ward, Resist Elements, Strength, Haste, Spirit Shield, and Wizard's Shield. Most of these spells are from lower trained critters (mid-30s).

What have you found? I know there's a few that can do Mobility, but who knows what else is out there!

The main reason I want to start making a list is so that folks can know what is at their disposal in the are they're hunting.

River's Rest:

* Ethereal Mage Apprentice - Thurfel's Ward (503)
** Putrified Citadel Herald - Spirit Shield (202), Spirit Strike (117)
** Hisskra Shaman - Resist Elements (602)
* Greater Moor Wight - Haste (506)
* Swamp Hag - Thurfel's Ward (503), Strength (509), Wizard's Shield (919)
** Bog Wight - Spirit Shield (202)

* Will cast Elemental Defense I, II, and sometimes III if you have less than 3 hours of the spell stacked
** Will cast Spirit Warding I, II as well as sometimes casting Disease Resistance if you have less than 3 hours of the spell stacked.

Adding some critters in Solhaven:

Shan Ranger - Mobility (618) and Mass Colors (611)
Mezic - Thurfel's Ward (503) and Mass Blurs (911)

Keep in mind that non-BCS (https://gswiki.play.net/mediawiki/index.php/BCS) creatures will not cast their spells on you when animated. A good while ago, I tried animating a jungle troll chieftain on Teras to get Mobility, but I learned they were non-BCS and would not Magic me. Is there a way to know if a creature is BCS? Not that I know of. If you animate one and the Magic command won't work, then that's probably why. Luckily, most creatures are BCS.
