Went to the doctor on Friday due to bleeding. Apparently all is not well with my pregnancy. They couldn't find the fetal sac, and there is a tear in my cervix. They drew blood for HCG testing and will compare it with my levels when they take more on Monday.

Three tests comfirm that I am pregnant.

I also have a little bit of cramping, so they are calling it a 'threatened' miss-carriage.

Wish me luck.

:(

When I was 3 months pregnant I was out at dinner at Red Lobster to celebrate our anniversary. I stood up from the table and blood just went everywhere. The trip to the emergency room and the treatment at the hospital are a horror story. You dont tell a bleeding pregnant woman to "have a seat", but thats a story for another time.

Don't be scared by the following, because my condition is fairly common among women.

They also called mine a threatened miscarriage. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have them do an untrasound and check your uterus for abnormalities. If they had caught mine in time, my daughter would have been born only 2 months early instead of nearly three. Saving her roughly about a month in the NICU.

Good luck with everything, I hope everything's alright.

Thankyou for the thoughts.

Cat, they did an ultrasound. My uteras and tubes all seem fine. Except for the tear in the cervix and apparent lack of fetal sac (which they think is just to small at this point) they are on the positive side of worried but keeping an eye on me.

Trust me, I won't let them neglect me. Know to many people who had problems. Right now they say the amount of bleeding, while never a 'wanted' thing is on the side of normal for those that bleed while pregnant. We will see.

Good, Im glad to hear that they at least think it's within the normal range. Everything will be fine, just take care of yourself and make HIM take care of you :)

Bed rest! Lots and lots of bed rest Caiy! I had a similar issue although mine started at 7 months pregnancy with a fall I took down some stairs in the middle of a tornado ::wails:: Anyhow..it tore the fetal sac as well and I ended up bleeding off and on in quite large amounts for the next month and a half. But bed rest, no strenuous lifting etc.. did wonders for me. So it can work out and I hope it does for you as well. You have my thoughts sweetie.
