I just don't get it... I hunt these damn critters and they can't ever touch me but EVERY SINGLE TIME they hit me for like just 1 point of damage they have this crazy ass flare that always crit kills me :( I'm wearing hauberk and almost 40... Is my training fucked up or something?

A red myklian charges at you!
AS: +251 vs DS: +275 with AvD: +33 + d100 roll: +92 = +101
... and hits for 1 point of damage!
Feeble stomach strike. That tickled! ** You feel an icy blast from the red myklian! **
... 70 points of damage!
Belly is now a block of ice. So much for breakfast!

It seems you have died, my friend. Although you cannot do anything, you are keenly aware of what is going on around you...

You mentally give a sigh of relief as you remember that the Goddess Lorminstra owes you a favor.

You are a ghost! You must wait until someone resurrects you, or you decay. Either way, it won't be long now! (HELP for more details).

Your mind is as clear as a bell.

You feel a strange sense of serenity, and find you are able to reflect on recent events with uncommon clarity and understanding.

There are a few problems.

1. You're wearing hauberk instead of metal breastplate.
2. You don't have near enough physical training.
3. You don't have enough dodging.
4. You're hunting myklians and there's no way to not get flared.

Problems:

1) You're wearing clothes in the pictures you post on the PC.

2) Your PF sucks.

3) Get resist elements from a ranger.

Get crit padding and 602 and you'll do alot better.

Myklians used to be one of the easiest ways to become a millionare in GS, when being a millionare was a big thing. Of course, they had no ability to make them feared, so they added that little flare effect. Basically, myklians were made harded because of the past. They are close to worthless to hunt now.

Find something else you can get double the skins in half the time and get half the silvers for them. You will also fry faster, and level faster as a result....and make the same amount of money.

Greetings!

I saw that you told Jenisi that she wasnt wearing the correct type of armor at her train. I was wondering what kind of armor do you all recommend. I have 6x chain hauberk-and currently I am 37 trains. Do I need to start saving silvers in order to buy better armor and if so what kind and at what train should I buy something better is there is any-especially one I could afford.
Thank you!

Unless you are a caster, some cheap 4x MBP would be better than 6x chain hauberk. It has no penalties if you don't cast spells, but lots of upsides: better chest crit protection, and you'll take less damage on all your other body parts but still have hauberk level crit protection.

EDIT: Also, better dodging of manuever attacks and I believe better CvA

I don't think you are quite trained for MBP yet. You armor seems above average for your age.

MBP has the same movement penalties as hauberk.
