Looking at making a new character to try voln. Thinking of these stats starting as a Erithian pure cleric.

Normal (Bonus) ... At Level 100
Strength (STR): 62 (1) ... 90 (15)
Constitution (CON): 39 (5) ... 80 (25)
Dexterity (DEX): 88 (19) ... 100 (25)
Agility (AGI): 54 (2) ... 80 (15)
Discipline (DIS): 58 (9) ... 100 (30)
Aura (AUR): 82 (16) ... 100 (25)
Logic (LOG): 60 (10) ... 100 (30)
Intuition (INT): 70 (10) ... 100 (25)
Wisdom (WIS): 79 (14) ... 100 (25)
Influence (INF): 68 (19) ... 100 (35)

950 total at 100

Should be playable from level one, decent dex for bolts, ok wisdom for cs. Somewhat placed for growth. Constitution is of some concern but has a nice bonus. Agility the extra DS would be nice but as a cleric DS shouldn't be too much of a problem. Will have to stay light.

Nice INF and DIS stats for voln for the new symbols especially symbol of sleep and symbol of diminishment. Diminishment is like having another 26 CS. Add in supremacy for another 13 it might be possible to uphunt undead using CS but burning favor.

Training with 40 physical, 49 mental:
Armor use 8 ranks till 25 ranks can be easily achieved (have a nice creature found set of studded, heavy crit padded permanant).
Shield .5x to start eventually going to 1x
Brawl 1x
Phyiscal Fitness 1x
Perception 1x
First Aid 1x
Magic Item Use 1x
Harness Power 1x
Spell Aiming 2x
Spirit Mana Control 1x
Spells 2x
Lore 1x
Climb/Swim .5x
Will eventually pick up 10 ranks of trading

With 45/31 to spare at level 10. Can use either runestave or shield/brawl, still have 8 magic ranks per level. 13/0 + 6/1 is 19/1 so about 10 mental points a level for defensive utility. Every 3 levels not training in shield and brawl would about equal a spell. It is a consideration, but I like that clerics have some nice physical sinks. Converting points feels so unhealthy.

Thoughts on stats and suggestions on training?

Possible stat change

INF to 50, 90 at 100
CON to 58, 90 at 100
WIS to 78, 100 at 100

Less frail at the cost of 1 mental point a level and 5 INF bonus.

A few things, if you are using spell aim you are going to want to use wizard wands and this means you want to start out with 2x MIU up to 40-50 ranks then stop training to let it slide down to 1x. You are also likely going to want to be 2x in HP. You don't technically need 8 magic ranks per level to use a runestaff it just gives you roughly the same parry DS as someone who is 1x in THW training, you also get the added benefit of the full enchant of the runestaff adding to DS regardless of stance. You seem to know what you are doing for stats but if you plan to bolt you may as well trim your wisdom down for growth. I'd suggest having it high during your first 30 days though but by the time they are over, unless you rarely play, you won't notice the loss much.

How about thoughts on shield/brawl? Is it a waste of points? My thought process on it is agi is low, shield/brawl gives the best defense makes up for it. As for the lost cost of tripling spells it isn't the same thing it used to be as calculating CS has changed. Once your at +21 in cleric those extra ranks don't enhance CS much other than just having access to more spells and there is alot of redundancy in cleric spells. Interferance, mass interferance. Blind, bind, silence, holding all almost the same just slightly different targets. Sanc and major sanc.

Could make an Erithian sorcerer but walking around as a cleric of zealia and talking all malkavian is hard to pass up.

Brawl/shield is up to you. I haven't done it because I tend to feel with a runestaff I have enough DS. I prefer CS over AS on my pures except for my wizard, or ones that I have rolled up specifically for using weapons. I hate hate hate using wands for things other then unstun, but to each their own.
