Here I find myself reading Dhuul doing the same exact thing he made a whole thread about me doing. Thats two slams by two different people in one day. Only one hour left today, maybe you can make it three :grin:

I don't consider that abusing mechanics and neither do the GMs at this point due to their lack of action on the matter.

I've died numerous times because of being blood bursted. It doesnt stun you, just staunch, health and run (or hide), and take it from there

Either that or you can man up and take the death. Don't start shit if you can't take shit.

trust me I die, I don't slam usually (today was an exception), but I'm not going to let some powertripper kill me in town and not get any charges. If the bug was fixed I would have taken it.

Once again, it's not a bug. Anyone can cause someone to bleed to death in town.

if you report to the GMs that you died from someone bleeding you to death, they will tack on charges to your murderer

so yeah it seems like to the gods at least, bleeding = murder with no penalty when there should be one

Please show me any shred of official proof of this. I've killed people in town using this method plenty of times and this has *NEVER* happened to me.

Sorry Arkans I got no proof, but I'm sure someone has done it. Ganimead told me that was the case.

All I know is that I'm no stranger to CvC. I've killed enough characters in my time and I've been killed as well. Many of times has this method been used to kill in town and never was the law arrested anybody.

I think players dish out enough of their own punishment when it comes to slamming. Slamming equates to numerous deaths to the people who do it. And, if you want me to use your logic, I'll just start killing you with one spell just so you can't slam. Try to weasel your way out of that.

Short of a GM actually seeing someone slam, is there anyway they can prove it? And yeah I agree they need to do something, logging out to avoid getting killed is something that's definitly disruptive not to mention extremely lame.

Unfotunately not that I know, unless its a critter/hunting situation. However if they get enough reports about one person doing I'm sure they'll eventually catch them in the act.

I can't give you proof but I've tested it before. I've done it on 5 different occasions. I've stunned my friend, started to bloodburst them, friend reports me, friend dies, GM arrests me for murder. 5 for 5. If you report someone trying to kill you with bloodburst like that, most of the time (at least from what I've tested) the GM will arrest you.

I'd encourage anyone to try it out. Report WHILE it's happening and I'll guess the other person will be arrested.

Did you bleed to death or did the blood burst actually kill you?

Bled the person to death. I stunned them, bloodbursted them a few times.... sat down and waited.

Real weird. Sometimes GMs act as fun boys. The amount of times I did this would point at the exact opposite though.

I use to think the same thing until I got nailed for it. So I tested to see. Most people don't report, and most people will just come back and start trouble again and then report. Next time I'm in game I'll test it again and post the views of both people for you.

That'd be real helpful, actually. This would be that "official word" rather than personal experiences that seem to have no common results.
