This American cowboy was driving when he spotted three thugs walking down the street with their pants sagging. He was quick to share his opinions of the incident.
What was the point of calling them thugs when they didn't do anything but walk down the street?

Can you be a cowboy and have a Youtube channel? There's a weird kind of dichotomy in this video.

Their use of terminology is pretty apparent when you briefly peruse the other articles available from the main page of americannews.com.

I find cowboy hats and boots to be just as weird as sagging pants.

I happen to believe that anyone who walks around with sagging pants as described in the article can very likely be termed a "thug". If you are wearing your pants like that you are making a statement, and it is not a nice one.
However, this is not a race issue. I have seen young white and a few hispanic men do the same thing. If you are going to dress like that, you can expect society in general to have a negative reaction to you regardless of your race. Deal with it.
If you have a problem with this position, then I assume you would have no problem with someone walking around proudly wearing a shirt with a large Confederate flag?
Yeah, I thought so...

Whether you agree with the style or not, the "trend" has gone way beyond gangs or prison to pretty much anyone who likes rap music. You know what makes people not want to pull their pants up? A whole lot of white people telling them to pull their pants up. Let them keep tripping to figure out how pants work.

The last person I saw sag their pants was a woman, not a man. She was hanging out in the same park I was in. I was in a sports bra. While I don't necessarily agree with the ensemble she was wearing, I couldn't point my finger at her and tell her to pull her pants up the same way she couldn't tell me to put a shirt on. How she wore her pants did not remind me of any symbol of slavery in this country. If someone wants to wear a confederate flag, I would probably avoid them more than I would someone sagging their pants.
Did you read the site Terrance? It was filled with white supremacists in the comments.

Wearing a shirt with a Confederate flag, while I believe is rather offensive, is nevertheless freedom of expression.
But I suppose you disagree...while sagging pants of course is completely acceptable (and I assume not even offensive)...
