Now that we know what many of us do for a living, how many of us actually enjoy doing what we do as opposed to those who'd really rather be doing almost anything else. ;)

I enjoy what I do, but not for who I work for - so that will change after July.

Good for you! I can't think of anything more frustrating than having a job you really enjoy, but working for/with people you can't abide. Eeeewwww!

I feel the same way, Mistomeer. I love what I do, and I love the freedom my job gives me. I also enjoy the people I work with. All around, it's a great gig. :)
Though I'm brand new, I love every minute of my job.
Great people, benefits, and pay.
AND I GET TO PLAY WITH 110,000 TONS OF EQUIPMENT/MERCHANDISE.

Woo woo...literally. :D
I enjoy what I do, but I'm not sure how long that feeling will last.

I won't be happy until I'm in the music business.

I don't enjoy being unemployed. I had a love/hate relationship with sales. I think I was addicted to something that was bad for me. It is good to be out.
I have a love/hate relationship with healthcare. I love helping people & the job I do, I fricking HATE that there are so few non-profit places to work at anymore. It's impossible for me to look at the patients as $$ signs
I thoroughly enjoyed working in the dog grooming industry for 10 years, however having zero health insurance & being self employed is a scary thing to start out with when supporting 2 kids.

Free room and board, living in the same building as 60 18 year old girls, what more can a guy ask for...
...the only thing that sucks is being stuck on coverage one night a weekend twice a month.

I love my job. Hard work, long days and sometimes nights, and always challenging. I love the people I work with, I love my salary, and am feeling pretty good about Kansas City right now :)
I'm pretty lucky!

Ive enjoyed what Ive done so far, will be enjoying my new position even more, even though it will not have nearly so many young girls in low cut shirts and no bras leaning over my desk.

I love the people I work for. I do not like my hours or my pay. I've just switched to another job within the department, so I can't say whether I love it or not yet. I'm going to guess not.
I guess it pays the bills.

Loved my job at the zoo and miss it terribly.
Out on disability right now, awaiting surgery on both hands. Seems I gave myself a whopping dose of carpal tunnel trying to compensate for arthritis.
In the meantime I'm volunteering a couple days a week at a spay/neuter clinic for a local shelter, mostly doing filing and answering phones; non hands types of jobs.
I miss being a tech.

I initially like the job I have but it's become something difficult to enjoy when you are working for an insurance company. I've always wanted to help out people and do everything to make sure they get covered for things, and in my business, it's not really the idea of the company.
I get told all the time that I'm a great advocate for the patients, but that I have to be an advocate of the company sometimes too. That can be difficult when you want to tell people that we can find a way to get something covered. I still do that, I'm not about to change that about myself.
I'm debating moving into the advocacy areas, maybe into social work again. I used to work for child welfare previously, I just got so devestated by the work, I decided against staying. I'm sure elder care is just as devesting at times, especially with the way we choose to take care of our elders. I would much rather have inexpensive insurance for elders and younger people paying more, but it just doesn't work that way.
Anyway, I'm there at my job..maybe a career change in the future.

My job is convenient for me to finish school and I can't beat the hours, salary, and atmosphere for the time being. I have a year left of Grad school and then off to Law school but I've yet to decide if I'm going to work while obtaining my law degree. Pending.
Edited to remove a fragment.

My job is great except for the pay... I would like to work for a nicer place. But while i'm in college I can't change jobs whenever I want to considering I can only work 3 days of the week.
