Background info on ethereal strings, because I know folks will ask:

Click Here for Krakiipedia link (https://gswiki.play.net/mediawiki/index.php/Ethereal_string)

In a nut shell, in exchange for stamina and mana, the string increases the weapon's enchant, up to 40x enchanted. Why 40x? Because 40x is the highest enchant that any player in the game can hold. Theoretically if you were over level 100 you could ramp it up higher. Stamina/mana cost is:

3/3 for +5
6/6 for +10
9/9 for +15
12/12 for +20 etc.

Just raise the axe to activate, raise again to deactivate. Each attack raises your AS up one enchant till you raise it and it goes back down to zero. You can also raise it when you're not holding it, so you can shut it off even if it's in your sheath.

With good mana/stamina, you can effectively keep the enchant cycling back and fourth from +5 to +25 through an entire hunt, or, even more fun, in big invasions and what not you can hold it in reserve for bosses and hit them 2-3 times with a few very big blows with an extra +100AS or so.

Relax, he said it was for sale, not that he'd be sharing his password so you can 'sell' it for him.

I'm slightly confused about the stringed axe. You raise it, and then after each attack the enchant increases?

Yes. And each time it costs a little more stamina/mana for the extra enchant. Raise again to set it back to the base enchant.

Is it safe to log out while inside the tent?

Is it safe to log out while inside the tent?

I am not sure, but they tend to stick around. The way I use it, if I got banged up and needed to chow herbs in the Scatter, I set it up and enter, do my healing and that's it. I've also used it when I've gotten an important phone call while hunting. It's particularly handy in The Scatter since major sanctuaries fall pretty quickly in there. I wouldn't recommend logging out though, that seems a little risky.

How exactly do they work? You set it up in a room, and you can run back and hide inside of it indefinitely? I assume you can't set it up if you're already stunned/webbed/etc?

Does it work inside?

Can anyone enter with or without your permission? How many can it hold?

What if you forget to take it down and log off?

How much does it weigh?

Sorry for the rapid-fire.

Archigeek

Some answers on the tent:

It only works in outdoor rooms.

You need to have both hands empty to set up the tent.

Weighs about 6 pounds and can be lightened to 5 pounds.

You can take a group into the tent, people can't enter it without you.

Not sure what happens if you forget to take it down; don't forget.

[Nightmare Gorge]
The tumbled boulders corrupting the trail become almost impassable here in the gorge's elbow. Stone piled on cracked and icy layers of more stone threaten to clutch at feet and ankles. Occasional fingers of bone reach up from the snowy rubble, marking where creatures have succumbed to the treachery of the course.
Obvious paths: northeast, northwest
>
Your disk arrives, following you dutifully.
>get tent from surc
You remove a folded tan canvas tent from in your surcoat.
>stand tent
You quickly unfold the tan canvas tent, pull out the stakes, and spread it all out on the correct spot of ground. After a quick moment of pulling and standing, a narrow dark brown canvas tent embroidered with a tree bark-like pattern is upright and ready to go.
Roundtime: 5 sec.
R>go tent
[Kerl's Tent]
Patterned to mimic the bark of a tree, the walls of the tent have been embroidered with dark brown threads. Several thick carpets in various shades of green cover the floor. You also see a tent flap.
Obvious exits: none

You methodically unhook the body of the tan canvas tent from the stakes and fold it back up into a neat bundle.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

>anal my tent
You analyze your tan canvas tent and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions, but the creator has stated that "The item type should not change."

The creator has also provided the following information:
This is a canvas tent. It must remain a canvas tent. You can have a long description only for the standing version of the tent as long as the description includes "canvas tent." The interior of the tent may be changed by some merchants, but remember that we're roughing it. No frilly silky pillows! This is camping!

This tent can be lightened by one pound until it reaches five pounds.

Dunno. Not a paladin and have never played one. I assume you can punch a demon with them though, which I think is pretty cool.

Updated. Some communication on closing sold pending payment deals has been difficult due to problems with the PC, but we'll get those done, so no worries and no huge hurry. If I've told you an item is yours pending payment, that status won't change without discussing it with you first. Did manage to get one item delivered tonight, and one more item sold pending payment (the hurling shard box).
