How many hungry people would that $ have fed? Sad.

Typical fat-arsed Yank...faced with a thing of beauty and your first thought is food.

Fuckoff fatty.

Typical greedy dullard. No thought of those less fortunate. May God have mercy on your soul. Enjoy putting your butt crack on that instead.

That looks like a fantastic time. I don't know that there's any better avenue to affordable speed than a motorcycle. Much better on gas than a similarly enjoyable car too (unless a Tesla.)

It's such an incredible ride. The Germans have their faults, but they make beautiful machines...and this is one.
No idea why it took me so long to get two-wheel-bound.

Absolutely. While my bike comes from another portion of the former Axis powers (Japan, not Italy) I can't deny how nice the BMWs are. They make excellent combinations of comfort and speed.

I might get crazy and go electric if I get another though.

Hmmm...electric seems sensible if used domestically, wouldnt fancy touring on it though. Not just yet anyway.

It would tend to cut trips off rather abruptly! Have you just taken yours around the British Isles or into continental Europe yet?

I've only had it a couple of weeks. I have done a few rides around my county so far, but work and small-person responsibilities conspired against me in that respect, thus far.
I have a bit of a break from work at the moment so will be going a bit further afield, but the intention is to do some long haul touring, including, but not limited to; the Trans America Trail, Kenya to Cape Town, and across to Magadan. Need to sort out some finances first, but that's the plan.

Having said that, I'd also quite like to explore these isles of mine. I have many parts unvisited, so that is something I should do as well.

Both seem fantastic. For myself I've sadly got to spend my summer doing college classes. I think I'll still take a few rides to the Blue Ridge Parkway though. Thanks for sharing!

It's no Ducati but awesome bike nonetheless. You should check out the Pan-American highway, that would be a hell of a ride.

I like this one better, even if it's not a Harley.

I considered buying a mid sized adventure style motorcycle (http://powersports.honda.com/2015/nc700x.aspx) just to cruise around the state and get me to my preferred hiking spots in style.

Then I got all practical and boring. Too expensive, having to switch back and forth from riding and hiking gear, risking stolen gear while away from the bike for hours. Plus the bike can't haul the kayak and the dog along.

Good luck leveling up in the real world.

Yes, along as it's not all road...need some off-road stuff to mix it up a bit. But that's the kind of stuff I want to be doing.

If you ever get a chance in your life to ride the Alaskan Highway do it. Most beautiful stretch of road in the world with more off road opportunities than even you could wish for. If you can't do that then at least try to ride the Parks Highway between Anchorage and Fairbanks. I have family up there you could stay with. They are apt to feed anyone they dislike to a bear though. Fair warning.

It does sound pretty fun, especially if there is cold beer involved.

Only in non choppy waters. Use one of those non stick drawer liner things on the bow. Instant chick magnet.
