Just curious, where is the undead gap? I've been through one before, but they took care of that one.

Doesn't River's Rest have undead high enough to get you to the Rift?

Oldest undead in the Rest is 62/63... rift starts in the mid-70's, right?

Yup. A bit of a jump but I imagine still doable with some help.

The undead gap is officially Wind Wraiths and Soul golems to Naisirc's in the rift or about level 64-75.

Oh how I hated the undead gap. It's much better now than it used to be though.

soul golems are not an option for many professions because of their immunities, clerics just happen to luck out here. So for most folks the gap is wind wraiths (61 and no loot + vanish when you hit them) to Naisircs (75)- which means you have *no* options once you can kill a Naisirc than to go get shit on in the rift if you want to hunt the dead.
Smite is a useless spell in certain level ranges, luckily you can probably eek by 312'ing dwellers and minotaurs meanwhile now that 319 does what it does.

The bestiary script might be a bit outdated, but if you do ";best undead level 1-110" it gives a good idea of how bad that gap actually is. I did 1-100 out of habit so it's missing the post-cap undead (sentries, lichs, siphons)

I got loot off wind wraiths when I hunted them, but only gems I think. Plus I got those vials. Or maybe I am imagining it?
That chart shows a heck of a gap though. Greater vruul were easy, but I could never find enough of them.

Looks like RR is definitely an option. Over hunt by about 5-6 levels, then jump to the Rift. Shricken are doable as well if you wanted to spell tank a bit (thought spellburst is in effect in that area)

those levels have minimum entrance requirements as well. Once you outlevel golems/swordsman you literally have no option, at all, until 66/67(?) as you can't enter those areas. Now granted you might say that's "only" 3-4 levels if you take hunting those low 60's things to about their max. But, if you think about it, you're going to have two types of players mainly. Power hunters who like to overhunt, and filthy casuals. For the former, that level gap is huge because you're probably pooping on the the low 60s thing WELL before you can get into the next areas. For the more casual hunter, those few levels might equate to months of time.
It's pretty ridiculous that a gap that large still exists. Even if they just got rid of the level requirements for rift or especially maaghara (which is super random that it has one) it might be better.

That's what Donquix just pointed out. I had forgotten there are hard level caps for entrance into Maaghara's Tower for Shrickens. You'd have to hunt the shit out of River's Rest, but it's still doable.

back in gs3 we wore brig, we ambushed with blunts, and we powered through the undead gap. man up and fixskills. but really you should just go hunt the lower eye with 306. or raise and do bounties.
