Ultimately I would love to get some crit padded brig. If there is someone willing to trade for the armor and the price difference paid with silvers of course, that would be great.

>tap arm
You tap some matte black vaalorn armor inlaid with pearl and emerald runes that you are wearing.

>inspect arm
You carefully inspect your black vaalorn armor.

Your careful inspection of some matte black vaalorn armor inlaid with pearl and emerald runes allows you to conclude that it is plate armor that covers the torso only.

You determine that you could wear the armor around your chest. The armor appears to serve some purpose.

You remember that you registered this item between six and seven years ago.

It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of steel.

"The resonances of your music caress the ancient weave of enchantment within the black vaalorn armor. You recognize both spiritual and elemental components, twisted together and permanently altered into a new form -- the unmistakable taint of sorcery."

"As the black vaalorn armor responds to your song, you sense echoes of ancient enchantment drifting softly through the resonances. It is difficult to say whether or not the armor is innately magical, but, if not, then it has certainly been exposed to a great deal of magical energy over an extended period of time."

"The resonances of your music caress the ancient weave of enchantment within the black vaalorn armor. You recognize both spiritual and elemental components, twisted together and permanently altered into a new form -- the unmistakable taint of sorcery."

"As you sing to the black vaalorn armor, you evoke the image of a short man with silver-streaked hair. He holds the black vaalorn armor in his hands, studying it intently. As he turns it over, its brilliant gems glitter brightly as they catch the light, and he nods his approval. He signals to a liveried servant nearby, and the servant quickly comes to take the armor away. The vision drifts away from you as your verse ends."

"Another vision comes -- a fleeting image of a ship's aging gangplank. Muscular human stevedores load the vessel under the wary, watchful eye of a liveried servant. The image of a silver hunting hound cradled in a white lily has been embroidered on the sleeve of his tunic. With sharp words, he orders the stevedores to take care with his master's cargo, and, as your senses narrow upon one particular coffer, you sense this black vaalorn armor lying inside, so many centuries ago."

"The vibrations of the black vaalorn armor craft the image of a vast treasure room in your mind. This vision is much stronger than the image of the ship had been, for the black vaalorn armor lay there for a much greater period of time. Guttering torches shed orange light across shimmering piles of gold and gems, all carefully fenced about by a web of sorceric enchantment. You sense human figures in the room, but their presences are frail and fleeting -- they come, they gaze, they touch, but they only rarely take anything away. Only the treasure remains through the years."

I bought this piece seven years ago so I really have no idea. I had it altered from it's original description soon after I got it.

Is it full enchant? Because Vaalorn is typically not.

Pretty nice item since it's vaalorn, and not vaalorn-bound or something. Good luck in your sale.

You apparently ran right past the part where inspect said "It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of steel."

Basically it's just an "illegal" alter by today's standards, which jives with the OP's timeline of it being 7 years old.

My brain stopped working when I got to "crib padded".

Yes, because you've never once had a typo. I'll give you that the "b" and "t" are, north to south, on opposite ends of the keyboard...still.

Wait a fucking second...that wasn't MY typo, why do I give a shit?

I'm not saying I've never had one, just saying it made my brain freeze up, you dirty fucking libertarian.

In the same vein, my little twc warrior project has an old, old item that fits the same scenario..."some immaculate veniom chain armor"...well, everyone knows you can't just make a full suit of veniom armor, you'd float off into DR.

His also inspects as steel. Just an old alter that wouldn't fly now-days.

Whoah, whoah...exactly what does my party affiliation have to do with this? Why you always gotta bring up old shit, brah?

I had a laje surcoat, thought that was interesting.

I had a laje surcoat, thought that was interesting.

That is actually interesting in two ways...number one, according to lore, laje isn't a sturdy enough metal to make any sort of protective gear out of...and two, a surcoat isn't an acceptable noun for a piece of armor.

You got a dual threat there, good sir.

The war between dogmatic politics cults is eternal!

You've got it all wrong. Libertarianism is the One True Path that will lead the blind, deaf, and dumb away from the dogmatic political cults they were raised to believe in. The shining light of ultimate truth will eventually...er...shine the light of uh..ultimate truth on the uh...darkened shadows of umm..

Fuck you bro. Just believe, alright?
