View Full Version : House bought!

OK, so awhile back I asked for some home-buying advice. We bought a condo and we've been in for about a month, so I thought I'd share some pictures. It's not huge, about 1200 square feet with two decks. It's the third story for a three-story unit, so we have HUGE vaulted ceilings. The kitchen countertops are granite, which I love, and the cabinets are solid oak.

Here are some pictures:

Thanks! I didn't post pictures of the guest bedroom or guest bathroom, those aren't as done as I'd like them to be. That couch is huge, it was our big purchase and I looooove it.

Yup. We got married in July of 2003 and moved to Vegas two days later, and rented for a year before scraping together and getting the ownership thing done. We'll probably only be here for two years before our salary situations allow us to afford a bigger house payment, and a bigger house. Hopefully with a pool;)

Damn you mean I have a place to stay in Vegas now when I lose my money?

Learn how to count cards, and then you can win money. If you come to Vegas, I'll give you a free lesson at my kitchen table.

Haha, I have that exact same suitcase.

The place looks awesome, maybe because I haven't seen sunlight in a couple days. But I think it's legitimate awesomeness I'm seeing.

I can count cards only when drunk. Someone pay for a ticket for me, get me a 6 pack, and sit me in front of a blackjack table.

This couch is the best. I'm lounging on the chaise lounge on the end of it right now. It's really cloudy outside and it's going to rain, and from our balcony we can see the thunderheads building up in the hills. We can also see the lights from four airplanes stacked up in the approach coriddor for McCarran Airport. And there's a Panera Bread right up the street. Life r good:)

And unlike some people, I can post pictures to prove it;) Life is so tough here in Hick Nevada that I've had a digital camera for like, ages now.

Another thing, that shows where you priorities are you winner. You have had a digital camera for ages, but you neglect to have enough money to buy a decent peice of real estate. That is why you suck at life.

You're going to compare a $200 camera with a condo?! Are you for real? :stfu:

Congrats, Spun!

By the way, that kitchen looks exactly like the one in my grandmother's house. Creepy.

No its the fact that she probably works at some 10 dollar an hour job, and had a digital camera for ages cuz she is "oh so rich" at her wal-mart job. Thats why she puts down the big money on 2 bedroom condos in vegas where real estate is dirt cheap.

Let's see your decent piece of real estate, Sean. Your parent's house doesn't count.

Hey fucknut, having your own home in your early twenties is an incredible achievement for those who work a solid job and don't live off their parents. Shows how much you know about her that you're spouting bullshit simply because she didn't believe your own. Leave her alone with her home, will you, and keep the bashing to your pathetic dating a stripper thread.

She works in a place hell of a lot nicer than Walmart. And even if she didn't , at least she has a fucking job and isn't a leech on welfare. Not saying you are, but don't ever diss people who work for a fucking living.

Spun > Double0RX7 x1000000

If she was working at Wal-mart and managed to buy her house aged 24 then that would be even more of an achievement than buying a house on a higher wage.

Way to be a moron and praise someone up when you think you are slagging tham off.

Sign up, sign up, sign up! It's only $30 this year, and it was $60 last year. Lissa got us an awesome hospitality suite that's like 25 yards from the pool, so I'm betting on a few attendeeds winding up in the pool before weekend's end. And after the GM forums I'm giving a "Vegas for Dummies" semiar so you can go gamble with confidence
