I know that this person has many posts already, but recently just met him/her. I enjoyed the altercation until he said he was going to report me.

Sparks begin to fly between the smeared scroll and Caladari's fingers.
With a sudden burst of enthusiasm, the sparks jump into Caladari's hand and she seems to glow with power.
Caladari put a smeared scroll in her gossamer scroll satchel.
Caladari slings a rune-etched mossbark long bow off from over her shoulder.
Caladari gestures.

You stride away, moving down.
[Upper Dragonsclaw, Slopes]
The two paths around the towering boulder directly to the north allow you to skirt it, but the boulder itself looks fairly easy to scale. From its top, you might be able to get your bearings and stay out of harm's way for a bit. You also see some light leather, some leg greaves, some arm greaves, a wooden shield, a cudgel, some leg greaves, some arm greaves, a rotting tree stump and a long dark space under the boulder.
Also here: a stunned Caladari who is lying down, Sykix

Obvious paths: northeast, south, northwest

The ghost of Sykix whispers, "Why did you attack sykix?"

You deeply say, "Don't temp me and you will not die."

The ghost of Sykix whispers, "Now i have to report you too, damn."

Welp! After that, we had some comments on the PsiNet.

[Private]-Caladari: "ok honestly, how the fuck did you get such good defense?"
[Private]-Caladari: "did your 100 train warrior buy him some massive armor?"
[Private]-Caladari: "your not much older than 30"
[PriavteTo]-Caladari: "Who said I'm that young?"
[Private]-Caladari: "I did"
[PriavteTo]-Caladari: "Then you are wrong"
[Private]-Caladari: "bullshit, you fell by my scroll induced ewave? And a level 10"
[Private]-Caladari: "level 10's ewave, plus your defense was hideous on the ground as was it when standing up"
[Private]-Caladari: "your attack was patetic, of course if your over 30 i mean"
[OOC]-You: "calada I'm not fully trained for range"
[Private]-Caladari: "but the endroll VS actual hits was huge"
[Private]-Caladari: "fine then "AS: +283 vs DS: +35 with AvD: +26 + d100 roll: +90 = +364""
[Private]-Caladari: "Even on the ground you'de have a better DS if are over 30"
[PriavteTo]-Caladari: "Just know who you are against. I'm not young."

HAHAHAHAHA

Great job on dropping them both.

I wouldn't worry about the report. If you get talked to by a GM, odds are going to be very likely that Caladari left out that she stole from you, and that's what warrented the attack.

At that point, they're probably going to tell Caladari to just leave you alone, and you the same.

Caladari pulled that same shit on me, attack me, die, die again, and again, then get Sykix out to drag her.

Then she reports me when I kill Sykix and tells me that dragging does not constitute PvP consent...BS, it does if you are the same fucker who attacked me!

Caramia

Caladari and her other characters like to dish it out, poorly, and they take it just as poorly! Whiners.

She pulled the same crap on me, stole from me, got caught, tried to deny it, then I when I attacked her for stealing, she made pretty vulgar and OOC comments in whispers, and threatened to report me. Then she logged out and brought in Sykix, and openly admitted to me it was her other character. Guess she hasn't learned bringing other characters into your conflict is against policy.

She also has this stupid friend, Lashmila/Ramein, and brings them into her conflicts, too.

Report me for consented conflict when she violated policy? Riiight. I also reported the wench for her vulgar OOCishness in whispers. She either has to learn to keep it in character with ONE character, or she needs to stop messing with people.

Please do not edit the post and remove the context of the conversation, Tsa'ah.

Currently, the post after the edit seems like Sykix did not do anything to deserve the death.

She said the word "Faggot" in game and it was posted as is. You could edit the post by replacing the word, but not removing all lines that contain the word. This creates a whole different context in the story.

Also, "Faggot" was the word against me, and since I'm not, it's not personal to me.

So, stop being so sensitive on posts.

Yeah Cala just sucks balls altogether. I avoided a confrontation with him/her, wtf ever. On OOC I made fun of her for dying and she told me she was going to steal from me. Then on OOC again, Caladari says "You reach into Cayge's pockets and remove 845 silvers". Of course, there would be no way she could pull that off on me, and she Psinet Skills checked me and agreed. I still dont grasp the motivations of people who spend more time fighting with other PCs than trying to get stronger so maybe Xinister wouldnt of pwned her and her MA so bad. Good shootin', Xinister.

Ranged weapons do not work well against any plate.

And Xinister.. all you have to do is aim for an eye.. one shot.. dead.

<quote> I still dont grasp the motivations of people who spend more time fighting with other PCs than trying to get stronger

I spend WAY more time training then having conflicts, but sometimes I get bored of it. I am 31 trains and gain a train at least once a week, although thats time is starting to lengthen due to the EXP gain of each level. Sometimes my character just wants to attack someone, although I dont normally start problems with non-aggresive charcaters. If they dont want a fight, then Cala wont start a fight.

Yes you do.... You steal; that is consent to conflict.

Stealing is not trying to start a conflict. Stealing is me taking what you got to get silvers off of it, thats why i train in a skill called "pick pocketing" and not "creating conflicts" If you catch me stealing you are within your rights to either attack me, or snitch to the constabe. Either way you can take some kind of "revenge" on me.

Stealing is consent to CvC. I see someone steal, I kill them. They get belligerent, I kill them some more. End of story.

Any GM will tell you that stealing is consent to CvC. So don't even try and pretend it's not.

Stealing is creating a conflict....

CalaDheNar
10-24-2004, 10:34 PM
I understand that completely, but what I'm saying is I steal from people for silvers, not to start a conflict. But if a conflict arises I am willing to accept a CvC, and defend myself, unless it turns into a massacre of me dying over and over, which would be overkill. The person also has the option of going to the constable. I never tried to say it wasnt, what I was trying to get across was that if I steal from someone who isnt aggresive I'm not going to attack them. I might egg the situation on to progress to an attack, but that doesnt mean I'm going to attack. If you threaten me, even by saying your friends are going to attack me, or try to ewave, or quake, I'm going to attack you, If you dont like it, go to the constable.

Point being is I will not attack a non-agressive person, but if the situation is getting to the point where I'm going to get attacked, or other people are getting involved, I'm going to defend myself.

YES I KNOW STEALING IS CONCENTING TO CvC, and I accept that fully. I have since learned to steal smarter. I USUALLY, as of lately, dont rob dark elves, rogues, extremely high fame people, or rangers. Mostly Giants, cause they're, for the main part, are really easy to steal from.

Then how about if someone said "Fuck that fucking asshole through the fucking roof? Is that acceptable on these boards?

Just wondering, what's acceptable?

Rule of thumb, don't steal from anyone that can whoop your ass.

Then again none of my characters wear titles or fame, so they get stolen from quite often, since they don't look 60+ trains.

Ah, and merriment commences. See the coinner log I posted for details.

Wrong, stealing IS consent to conflict, a conflict which you initiate and invite others to join you in. That's official from the GMs. They don't have to catch you stealing to exact their revenge either, if you give them sufficient motive to think that you commited the crime -- like the gem is in your hand or you gloat or parade about after your successful attempt. If you don't steal and still you pretend you did and crow about your prowess, they can still knock you into next week based upon your acknowledgement that you supposedly stole from them.
