Remember when people believed in Hero's Journey?

"In this country, first you get the money, then you get the power, THEN you get the woman."

Money = Savants released
Power = Empath - Savant conversion
Woman = Tgo

No clue when the profession will be released but it is very likely that some classes will be able to convert.

The engine made money though!

Also, from what I recall reading a few years back, around paladin release time, they were saying no converts planned to Savants. Just Pallies and Monks. It has been a very long time though, and yet to be way more time.

Remember when people forgot about monks and ensorcell?

15 year turn around times for things that were "almost done"

recently the reply for savants was basically "don't hold your breath." By simu standards, it won't be done in any of our lifetimes.

Actually now that you mention it, I do. Holy heck, wasn't it back in like 1996 that ensorcell was "real soon now"? When I started playing again in 2006 I had totally forgotten about ensorcell.

Well I'm just saying, as soon as monks were released it seemed there were a quick succession of releases including ensorcell and paladin spell reform that took everybody by surprise. Now there is already a minor mental spell list implemented, a working copy of the major mental and savant spell lists I wouldn't be surprised if the shit came outta nowhere. There is also what seems to be a big influx of players lately...just sayin'.

I uhh, hate to point this out.

Monks were out for a LONG time before the paladin spell review. A LONG time. People were at 20+MIL XP monks before the review even hit the table.

I donno when ensorcell released. If it was between 09 and 13, I wasn't playing.

I think if monks were more popular we would see savants sooner. I think monks are probably the largest flop for GS considering how many coding hours were devoted to them.

A couple years isn't along time.

Uhh, I hate to point this out but 20 mil XP in even 2 years is NOT impossible, so that can't even be a gauge for a length of time, plus you have to consider converts. Monks were not out long in GS terms before the reform, considering people are always saying how Simu saying 'just around the corner' means 15 years.
