Yeah, so I thought I'd have some fun and try and get a deed on teras.... wrong. Here's a log of me (most of it anyway) trying aimlessly to get a deed.
>put ruby in box
You drop a ruby in a donation box.
Ziigafel claps her hands with glee and says, "Lorminstra guide you in your givings!"
Ziigafel studies you intently for a moment. After a prolonged silence, Ziigafel shakes her head and says, "You're not ready yet."
>get moon

You remove a cats-eye moonstone from in your black leather backsack.

>
Ziigafel whistles a merry little tune while performing some amusing little hand gestures. When she stops, she says, "Do you like that song? I can teach it to you!"
>get opal
You remove a fire opal from in your black leather backsack.

>get star
You remove a red starstone from in your black leather backsack.
>put star in box
You drop a red starstone in a donation box.
Ziigafel studies you intently for a moment, and with strength of sincerity that transcends her apparent age says, "I believe you are ready now."
Robes swishing with her stride, she walks over to the vases of incense sticks and scrutinizes each in turn. You hear her muttering prayers under her breath--catching mention of Lorminstra and "Beautiful Keeper" ever so often. Finally, she selects several sticks of incense and bundles them together.
Ziigafel returns to Rivalyn and hands him the bundle with a slight bend of knee and nod of blessing.
Ziigafel smiles.
>go arch
[Spiral Staircase, Top]
A long spiral staircase descends before you sturdy railing and a series of torches guide your way. Bordering the spiral stairway is a series of tiles, one placed for each step where the step meets the wall. Each footstep on the staircase echoes up and down this narrow stairwell. Upon the western wall is an archway that exits the stairwell.
Obvious exits: down
>
Your disk arrives, following you dutifully.
>look tile
Each tile is painted with a glyph-like pattern and a tiny caption. Descending from the top of the stairs, the tiles read: star, ant, dandelion, topaz, bird, child, seven, egg, growth, person, hole, rock and childhood.
>down
[Staircase, First Landing]
This landing separates two sets of spiral stairs descending and ascending before and behind you. Bordering the spiral stairway is a series of tiles, one placed for each step where the step meets the wall. A cool draft drifts from somewhere below, causing the torches on the wall to flicker and the shadows they cast to dance.
Obvious exits: up, down
>
Your disk arrives, following you dutifully.
>look tile
The tiles that descend from here are each painted with a glyph-like pattern and a tiny caption. In descending order, they read: sun, bee, rose tree, amber, deer, man, twenty, drakeling, harvest, couple, burrow, boulder and adulthood.
>down
[Staircase, Second Landing]
This landing separates two sets of spiral stairs descending and ascending before and behind you. Bordering the spiral stairway is a series of tiles, one placed for each step where the step meets the wall. The air seems more dank and earth-scented. You hear faint sounds of waves drifting up the stairwell.
Obvious exits: up, down
>
Your disk arrives, following you dutifully.
>look tile
The tiles that descend from here are each painted with a glyph-like pattern and a tiny caption. In descending order, they read: earth, worm, mushroom, quartz, wolf, woman, thirty-three, dragon, winter, family, cavern, mountain and dotage.
>down
[Spiral Staircase, Bottom]
At the bottom of the staircase is a large painted tile, similar to those found on the stairs above, but yet isolated from the others. A long, narrow corridor stretches north. You hear tidal noises coming from that direction.
Obvious exits: north, up
>look tile
This singular tile is larger than the rest, its colors are bleak, its caption reads, "death."
>
Your disk arrives, following you dutifully.
>n
[Cavernous Lake, Dock]
An immense, underground lake stretches before you to fathomless depths. Underground springs must feed this lake, as the air is quite warm and humid, and a sulphuric odor permeates all about you. Thick shrouds of fog blanket the lake, making it impossible to see beyond twenty arm-lengths' distance - just beyond that lies a more definite blockage to your view: darkness. You also see an elegant skiff.
Obvious exits: south
>
Your disk arrives, following you dutifully.
>sing All great princes, kings and queens,; Come before to hear Her sing.; Incense burnt for Her delight; Insures their souls another Night.
You sing:
"All great princes, kings and queens,
Come before to hear Her sing.
Incense burnt for Her delight
Insures their souls another Night."
>
The faint echo of Rivalyn's song sounds about you.
>go skiff
[Cavernous Lake, On the Skiff]
This tiny boat has but two benches, one forward and one aft, with enough seating for four. Every movement you make causes the boat to wobble--you try concentrating on keeping it from capsizing. Hopefully, the seas before you will not offer much turbulence.
Obvious exits: out
>
Your disk arrives, following you dutifully.
>
The sail on the skiff fills as with a breeze, but no breeze can you detect. The skiff drifts slowly away from the dock and meanders into the mist-covered waters of the cavern.
>
Fog rises up and engulfs the tiny skiff in a suffocating blanket of obscurity. All noise about you dampens, as though the fog is too thick for sound to travel through.
>
Your breathing becomes somewhat labored, and the air takes on a musty, stale quality. You feel a slight rise in panic, as it seems the boat has stopped moving altogether. Just as you wonder how you could possibly navigate your way out of this monstrous sea of fog, you notice the skiff's sail is still taut. You hope whatever force that guides this craft knows where it's going and, more importantly, knows how to get there.
>
The ground begins to rumble loudly and violently, nearly unbalancing you.
>
A heavy sense of claustrophobia presses down about you as the skiff drifts through the endless sea of fog. Denser wisps of the stuff fuse together in shapes that take on humanoid features. Before you can make out definite determinations of eyes, mouths, brows, etc., the phantom image disintegrates and drifts past you.
>
The skiff wobbles suddenly, as something thumps into the ship's hull. You quickly grab on to the sides of the boat to steady it and yourself. Your heart pounds as you sit wide-eyed, silently waiting for something to happen. Just what was it that the skiff bumped into?
A loud splash sounds somewhere off to your left, followed by a startling spray of cold mist. Many silent moments pass, giving your imagination plenty of time to conjure up images of fabled sea creatures and their tremendous appetites for adventurer-filled sea vessels.
>
You look up as the noise about you increases, suddenly becoming aware of the water slapping the skiff's hull and fluttering of the skiff's sail in the ghostly breezes. The fog and your feelings of claustrophobia dissipate and your lungs fill with a deep draught of fresh air. You see a large, mushroom-shaped island before you; a dock stretches from its stalk into the water and welcomes you. The skiff's sails go lax and the boat begins to slow.
>
The skiff drifts into the dock, gently bumping to a stop.
>out
[Mushroom Island, Dock]
You are unsure whether this mushroom-shaped island was shaped by hand or nature. Certain parts of it certainly are, such as the set of steps and the little niche they lead to, or the orbs that serve as anchors for the wooden dock to be tied to. But the overall shape of the island makes you believe you could be standing beneath a giant, fossilized mushroom. You also see an elegant skiff.

[Lorminstra Shrine]
Inside the mushroom, the walls and floors are polished to an opalescent brilliance. Centermost in this little shrine is a brass statue of Lorminstra with a large metal ovoid shaped like an eye suspended above her. Dim light emanates from the white of the eye, its stare offers the room subdued lighting. On either side of the statue are what appear to be overturned iron cauldrons with a window cut out of the front. Inside the left cauldron is a silver prayer wheel; the right contains a wheel of gold.

The metal eye's lid slowly closes with a metallic clank. When it reopens, you see the picture in its iris has changed to "wolf."
The silver prayer wheel spins until it rests upon the "star" picture while the gold prayer wheel spins simultaneously until it rests upon the "ant" picture.

She is adorned in a mosaic dress made of turquoise and hemmed with inlaid silver. A large, diamond-studded tiara adorns her broad forehead; her eyes are shut; a pleasant smile remains permanently etched into the flawless face.
Her delicate hands are outstretched towards you, cupped together as if waiting to receive a gift. You also notice her elbows are hinged, as well as her jaw.

>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>

You also see an enruned brass coffer, some silver coins and the Rivalyn disk.
