So I guess some yankees fan is sueing the marlins for being hit in the face after Juan Pierre threw a suveneir ball into the stands at the end of his warm-up. I go to baseball games regularly. The bigger risk is foul balls and homeruns, not balls lobbed into the stands as suveneirs. This douche most likely just ruined that practice for all other fans. Now baseball players will be forced to not throw balls into the stands because greedy little twats will sue them any chance they get.

And to think, I never knew Arkans was a Yankees fan.

Fan probably won't win, because reasonable people are expected to be "on guard" when sitting in the stands. I'm thinking the plaintiff will argue that it was a pre-game thing, hence people aren't in the same state of mind, but I doubt it will succeed. I'll check out the complaint if it's available.

Win or lose, its still bad for the sport and the legal profession in general. It will probably cost a million bucks just to litigate the damn case. Its these types of cases that give lawyers a bad name.
