All I know is that Gingie was upset a few months back and threatening to ragequite a while back because someone was RPing a big meanie towards her, and she didn't appreciate it, since she's always been sweet, bubbly, bit naive, and I think only sits around TSC casting masses for everyone.

Subeta talks in Lnet a lot... I always assumed he was an alt of someone more well known... we'll say Elaiku. I know he was interested in some sorceress, and wanted to pop a ring on it, only told Jeril the name who laughed and said she was taken.

I think Bait's existence and namesake is the fact that it's a dude playing a woman character. Arguably the same as Subeta, but just slightly more overt about it.

As far as recent drama. I want to know... this could be good.

So basically, here's the gist, without explaining any specifics of shit people might wish to keep less than outed.

Gingie sits in TSC a lot.
Bait walked in and did something super not nice utilizing the act/emote/smile verbs.
Gingie has a very strong reaction to it.
Others told Gingie to report.
Gingie reported.
~This is confirmed as fact.~

Bait got a 24 hour lockout.
Came back 2 days later. 24 hour lockout was upgraded to 30 day lockout.
Came back at the end of the 30 day lockout. 30 day lockout was upgraded to 60 day lockout.
Came back at the end of the 60 day lockout, and was told his character had been permanently banned.
--This was the course of events as explained by Subeta, who owned Bait. Whether it is the 100% truth or not.....--

Now here's where it gets... fishy. If Subeta is telling the truth, the following statements are obscenely illegal, as far as I understand how it all works.

~Came back at the end of the 60 day lockout, and was told his character had been permanent banned. His *CHARACTER*. Not his account.
~His *CHARACTER* (Bait), had been transferred, WITHOUT a transfer request, off the account, and he was not told anything about it.
~His *ACCOUNT* which, if he HAD received a real permanent ban, would have had every existing character banned as well, was completely playable. The only thing missing was Bait.


There are three options.
1) Someone had his account access, and stole Bait.
2) Subeta is lying, and just trying to play the sympathy card.
3) A GM stole Bait and discreetly sold his gear for personal profit, or gave it out as personal favors to his/her friends. ...... I know this is a loaded statement, but Bait had good gear on him. Hearsay, but still. A poison ebow-esque bow? That alone is thousands of dollars. Back then? Lots of thousands.

I know, on these boards, we have multiple players who used to play GM's. I hope they can chime in on this.
Now I'm not discounting that Subeta may be lying. He very well may be. If so, he's a douchebag of epic proportion.
But what bugs me worse? Is that I KNOW GM's have done shit like the third option in the past. I don't care WHO tries to say it never happened. It's happened. It has god damn happened. There are people on these boards who are wildly more experienced in the matters of GM power abuse, and I'm sure they're just kind of headshaking at me throwing this down but the option must be considered. If a GM did take advantage? That's 100% ballpark hot dog bullshit. And it needs to be fixed.

Note: I could give one whit about what happens to Subeta in this situation. He did wrong, and he was a jackass to Gingie. But what was done to him, was ridiculous and, in my eyes, a completely obscene abuse of power.

First off... I think Subeta is pretty ridiculous. The stories he tells on lnet are either elaborate fabrications or the guy is unhinged. Masturbating in a room with your infant child then leaving your "jizz diaper" somewhere the kid can get ahold of it and eat it? What the hell. Seriously. The more I read it last night the less I believe it. He was told to email Solomon directly about his character and chose to "chalk it up as a loss?" Thousands of dollars? Really? Still not buying it.

Immediately hopping on the "A GM stole his char, took his gear and sold it" when it's fairly clear you're only hearing tidbits of what really happened seems a bit extreme here. But of course, he made it clear last night that calling simu to get Solomon's email and then actually writing said email was bit too much work for him... so honestly, I think it's a whole lot of bullshit.

That being said... like it or not... no one deserves to be sexually harassed and threatened with rape. Not in a game, not in real life... if you think those kinds of actions are "funny" or "ok" because it's the internet, then you're sadly mistaken.

Just wanted to put that up there. I'm not supporting Subeta. I just want the truth. It may be my curiousity, in part, but I don't like seeing this sort of thing fly. It ruins communities if people even suspect there's dirty byplay going on behind the curtain.

I may be a bit off, but if I recall the explanation it was something like...

Items on a GM's character cannot be moved OFF a GM's character because it sends up an immediate red flag. So no creating a 10x super claidh. The second it touches a player's account, lockdown will happen.

An existing item raises no such red flags.

Yes if it was on a gm's account .. if they hand it over it will set off alarm bells and instant action is taken. But there are some gm's who have duped items on their own player accounts and handed them to others.

The thing here is, he claimed that Chris at simu knew the character had been taken and couldn't give it back at this time. That would have been enough of a red flag to me that I would have immediately done as she instructed and emailed Solomon for the info. The fact that he hasn't done so, for a character he claims is worth thousands and thousands of dollars, is telling enough. While I'm not going to play the white knight for simu, I am not going to believe that they'd do something so easily trackable. I don't know how bans work, but I'm guessing they have to go through APM and/or PM and if they do you're pretty much saying that Wyrom or Solomon stole his character. Just not something I believe would happen.

I've written custserv@simutronics.com an email as Chris instructed me to do. This was on Tuesday, as Neelin said it's Saturday and I've still no response. It worries me. I will give him a full week. If come tuesday I have no response. I'll call billing again. I am upset about the situation. The only reason I didn't respond initially is because of two reasons. I thought that what Simu did they could do. I didnt know it was wrong. Also I was deathly affraid if I questioned it that they would delete the rest of my characters, IE: Oh you're right Joseph. We should of banned ALL your characters, not just one. But after discussing it with you guys on LNET I was encouraged to further pursue the issue. I give my word (put aside all the Trolling i do and random stories I tell, which by the way all are true except one which was half true although I'll admit I altered some of the details, completely unrelated to the Bait situation) I am a generally honorable individual and this was never a stunt for attention as some have said.
