Average number of fletching per feather

Does anyone know if there is an average number of fletchings that a feather yields, or is each feather different. I am trying to figure out how many fletchings I can get by using one fletching razor from the spirtfire(80 charges)

Unless things have changed, 4 fletchings per feather. There are also some critters that drop plumes of feathers, like the cockatrices in Ta'vaalor, and daggerbeaks in Solhaven... actually, those may be the only two.

Plumes have 6-8 feathers per plume.

However, I believe you can bundle feathers before cutting with a razor. Not sure if that impacts number of charges used.

You can't bundle feathers. That's why they're selling pretty feathers to fletch in bags or boxes (not sure which it was) in the shop on the Spitfire.

From cockatrices, I was getting 3 fletchings per feather, with feather count depending on quality, I was getting between 4 to 7 feathers per plume. If that helps at all...
