honestly for the amount you'd spend on potions, you're better off with PP

That's true in my experience (not to mention the time savings), but potions give me the vanity of "Enchanted by Jymamon". :-P

Also, if you item has humpteen zillion script charges... pp's may not be the way to go. (Think Voln Armor)

Yes.

You can enchant most scripted armor.

I'm a bit confused, sorry.

Voln has a WHOLE bunch of additives, that include critical padding *though phantom* that are included in the surcharge when using PP's, don't they? Does that not restrict voln enchanting?

#MindBoggling about this.

It is still a different spot that enchanting probably doesn't look for.

It could be different based on tier but I had T1 voln enchanted a few times with no issue.

The padding is a T3 thing, doesn't show up before. So it may very well just not matter until you hit T3.
....

Okay. Someone find some non-7x T3/T4 voln armor, and see if it's player enchantable. Seriously.

Who is it? I'd like a name and some details please. Feel free to ask permission from them if you need to, to release their name. I'm not interested in buying the armor.

If that's true? Like seriously true, then enchanting potions just became a really useful fucking thing because the surcharge for voln T4 is downright prick robbery with how the GM's *RE*-designed it when they figured out people actually wanted it.

Yes, I'm still bitter about that shadowy change to Voln surcharges right when the festivals were going. /mutter.
