I swore I wouldn't ever want this char back, but I'm sort of curious who has him, what his current stats are, and what the going price would be.

I am SO not trying to stir shit, but didn't Rogane get caught for AFK scripting like.... four times? Why would you want a character with that sort of mark back? I could have sworn there was a big LNet discussion over Rogane being pulled over and over.

Don't warnings roll off after a certain time without further infraction?

If they don't, they should.

Whoever has him, hasn't logged him in since I started tracking demographics. No rogane at all, so that goes back to dec of 2013.

I think forum warnings do, I don't think scripting violations do.

That sucks. I had a pretty nasty past with warnings and stuff prior to 2009 or so with him as well, so with the scripting warnings and stuff, it probably wouldn't even be worth it.

Anything that involves an SGM and/or suspensions and/or pretty much anything more serious than a slap on the wrist goes on a permanent record.

Well considering that when I had him, he had a 1 day ban and then a 30 day ban, the fact that he is even around anymore at all says something.

They don't.

I have asked about this at length.

Warnings!
Your first - A simple warning. This can roll off.
Your second - A simple warning, and maybe a final warning for something. This can roll off.
Your third - A 1 day suspension, either for 'cooling off' or minor infractions. This can roll off.
Your fourth - A 3 day suspension. Anything BEYOND this... *WILL NOT ROLL OFF*
1/3/7/30 day suspensions and then permaban. There may be 15/60 days, but I've never seen em.

I asked this because one of my friends got into a very large and heated debate that involved people murdering each other in Pinefar a year and change ago. Both characters involved got 1 day suspensions, and it would be a long time, but they were not permanent marks on the record.

Note: Your HISTORY is not the same as your record, and that never goes away. You can have 20 different violations on your history *which is tied to the ACCOUNT, and your character specifically*, but nothing on your record. One of my accounts from 2002 has ... probably eight? warnings on their history, for random stuff *You can call billing/email them for history to be sent your email* but nothing on their record that will effect an issue that would happen in 2015 or later, because it all happened so long ago.

So, reasonable-man-theory applies here? I'm shocked.

The second you do something stupid enough to warrant a 3day+ suspension, it goes on your history, your record, and will never. ever. EVER. be removed. Ever. =(

So... 2x shield use, 0x dodge is a bad idea for a ranger.

1 Rank of Dodge without a shield .705DS in offensive
1 Rank of Dodge when using a buckler generates .55 DS in offensive
1 Rank of Shield use with a buckler generates .283 DS in offensive

Use of a shield generates 20 DS, while reducing every rank of evade by .15 DS and generating .283 DS.
While, this doesn't seem like it would matter... Mobility also grants Dodge ranks, so you rarely have 0 that you're using.

The only way that shield use really makes sense if it you have a surplus of PTP, and are not converting any to MTP, otherwise Evade is a better bet for rangers.

That was a "bet" made on lnet that was never a bet...actually I think it was on psinet. Nothing to do with PC.

Only like...three people ever bring that up still, and oddly enough, none of them had anything to do with the initial scenario.

Maliku/Kreek was the person you bet with, unless you're referring to your Hoy situation. It's telling when you take money for bets you won but bets you didn't "aren't really bets."

He might be an ass (frequently) but I've known him a long time. I doubt he'd alter anything.

On top of that. I'm in that log and offered to take the bet, but Kreek got to it before me. It was a bet. He's just being a little wuss and won't pay up.

I'm talking about the Maliku scenario. As far as I know I don't have any outstanding debts with Hoy. (edit: or anyone else, for that matter) I made a passing comment in chat about "I would bet" and Maliku took it as an agreed-upon bet. I never agreed to anything formally, it was just talking shit.

A million dollars and a million silvers are far and away two different things. It'd be more like you saying you'd bet $10.
