Should do a study relating WPM of regular GS'ers to casual players.

Some of the record holding scores are like 120WPM, its kinda nuts. I think it might be because people memorize whats there but can you imagine those fingers flying?

And for only $9.90 you can get a nifty internet certificate proving how fast you can type! Wahoo!

the Huck Finn one was waaaaaay messed up. It felt like I lost braincells by trying to conform to its blahness.

Yeah my score was off the 3 minute test. Figure its more accurate than a one minute splurt.

I made the 'top 100 typists of the month.' I've always loved this sight. I like to show off my incredibly fast typing capabilities. It used to show the users NAME on the top 100, though. The highest I've ever been ranked is 3rd. I don't see how you can get over 130 WPM. My fingers were literally FLYING, and I could only get 122.

It's easy if you only type for a minute. For the first 10 seconds, I got as high as 212 WPM, and didn't drop below 140 until about 20 seconds in.

EDIT: Made the screenshot less crappy.

23:47 for GMT +2:00 would mean it was 4:47 p.m. East Coast, or about 8 hours before your post.

EDIT: Edited because I can't add or subtract right.

Latrinsorm

101 WPM at 96% accuracy for one minute.
92 WPM at 94% accuracy for 3 on that retarded Tiger thing. Man that was stupid.
Finally, 96 at 95% for 3 on the Alliances. I'm awesome.

I don't like how it does it word by word, so if you, say, type "thousand s" instead of "thousands", every word after that becomes wrong, without any way to go back. But whatever.

It should have been edited because you're retarded. I'm not in GMT. I live in Indiana. Why don't you go look up the time zone? I knew some idiot would doubt my capabilitites. Here's my proof. Go compare it to the top 100, and sure enough, ::gasps::, you'll find me! Don't be jealous because I can out type you.

By the way, I think you should check your math again. Nice try, though.

GMT +2:00 is the time that appeared on the Top 100's site.

Indiana is GMT -5:00. Therefore, take 7 hours away from whatever time was shown on that website.

23:47 - 7:00 = 16:47, or 4:47 p.m.

I guess Indiana's med school program is pretty lax if you have all this free time to read the boards and play Gemstone, huh?

Edaarin

Are you retarded? What do you think those + and - numbers mean? It's what your time is relative to GMT time, which is what that site records time in.

Tossing it up from work a few times while my customers babbled on I averaged out about 96wpm at 97% accuracy on the 3 minute tests.

And come to think of it I never bothered learning how to type at any decent speed til I started to play GS...

Too bad I still cant spell for shit.

I haven't taken a typing test in almost three years, when I first moved up to Mass. and went to a temp agency. I think I was like 96 WPM with 95% accuracy. I know prior to my playing Gemstone, I wasn't anywhere near that fast, and I play more now than I did at that time so I know I'm faster. It's definitely the reason for my improvements with typing. It's one good thing the addiction does offer, I suppose..heh.
