The 1+ character specifically upsells to premium. The "unlimited" hunting areas again mentions premium. Access to all locations is outright false, once again, due to premium. And then the EXP Gain Bonus and Absorption are just bullshit based on the fact they renamed it for F2P. Just a dumb way to do it, and it really shows the limits they've put in.

$15 and still 1 character in 2015.

it hasn't doubled, let alone more than doubled. 270ish at peak before to lets say 400 (which would be extremely generous) is a ~50% increase. it's definitely up, no denying that but i won't particularly care until it's sustained.

until then it's just a jump up on a downward trend.

That's only on at once! There's a LOT more accounts that are on that weren't on right when 400 was seen last night! No fair!

More accounts doesn't necessarily correlate with more players.

I'm sure there are a handful of new/returning players attracted by F2P, but I imagine most of the new "accounts" are current players just seeking to maximize their MA mojo.

If you're in Lnet... you'd have seen a large volume of returners who are asking a bunch of questions and ramping back up into the game. There have been a lot of new blood introduced with F2P. Any increase is a bonus.
