a long aureate rolaren katana
Wrapped in fine-threaded silvery silk, the hilt of this rolaren katana is inset with a sunburst charm of owleye agate while a crown-carved blood agate rests the pommel. The natural black metal shows through the light aureate dye. Circular polishing textures are apparent in the dizzying array of sweeping arcs along the blade. An inscription is etched above the cross guard. The weapon is exceptionally crafted by skilled hands. The katana is polished and graceful. Curiously, written upon it in flowing Erithian script is the name "Isalla". Truly, this weapon was constructed by a master craftsman.

>rub katana
You reverently lay your katana across both palms and bow to it. You weigh it within your hands for a moment then grasp it with one hand and sight down its length, carefully assessing it. Satisfied, you nod and return it to your side.
>turn katana
Slipping into a back stance, you hold your katana with both hands at an angle above your left shoulder. With precision-perfect grace you move the blade into a gentle arc through the air while taking an enormous step forward and end the move with the blade resting by scant inches above your right shoulder.
>wave katana
You raise your katana overhead and then launch a vicious slash downward, pulling the blade back up, then slash in the other direction.
>raise katana
Moving into a back stance, with your front leg straight while resting your weight upon your back leg, you raise your katana so that it is parallel to your right cheek. Ever so slowly, as you release a steady breath, you move your left hand, with only two fingers raised, across the length of the blade and hold the position with perfect poise.
>bow katana
You deftly raise your katana overhead, and then deftly pace around in a circle in slow, measured movements. At the top of each of the quarters, you bow respectfully, followed by a vicious slash through the air.
>read katana (non-erithian)
You try to read a long aureate rolaren katana, but the language is not one you know. It looks like it's written in Erithian.
>read katana (erithian)
In the Erithian language, it reads:
Isalla
>prod katana (changes the show slightly)
You prod the katana, and the look of it slightly improves.
>look katana

a ruby-washed golden rolaren wakizashi
With a slender hilt of lacquered kakore wrapped in argent silk, this brilliant golden wakizashi gleams with a finish akin to noon's sun. Ruby red enameled streaks dance across the blade in feathery curves, culminating in a fiery birdlike shape above the crossguard, its beak open in shrill cry. A flame-etched blood agate in a copper-bound eburnean bezel is caught within the silky braids which fall loosely in fringed tassels and terminate in tufted cardinal feathers. The weapon is exceptionally crafted by skilled hands. The wakizashi is polished and graceful. Curiously, written upon it in flowing Erithian script is the name "Isalla". Truly, this weapon was constructed by a master craftsman.

>rub wakizashi
Feeling for imperfections you run your fingers lightly along the wakizashi's blade.
>turn wakizashi
Gripping your wakizashi loosely in the palm of his hand, you rotate your wrist and allow the blade to glide in a gentle arc through the air. As the blade spins, you take an enormous step forward with your right foot. Just as the step is complete, with a resounding stomp, you stand poised with both arms extended, the wakizashi raised high above your head.
>wave wakizashi
Centering your weight on the balls of your feet, you bring your wakizashi to chest height with the blade tip angled up. With the turn of your wrist you whip the blade into a frenzy of motion. Pushing out with one arm and taking one-step back, you end with the wakizashi's blade horizontal to your ear.
>raise wakizashi
Rotating your wrist, you spin your blade through the air and step easily into a back stance. With perfect control of your muscle, you exhale a long steady breath while extending your other hand with two fingers pointed upward while holding the wakizashi mere inches from your left cheek.
>bow wakizashi
You kneel and place your wakizashi on your thighs, bowing in silent reverence to the blade.
>read wakizashi
In the Common language, it reads:
Isalla
>prod wakizashi (changes the show slightly)
You prod the wakizashi, and the look of it slightly improves.
