Dunno, if anyone else saw this on the officials but I suppose its not completely unexpected although disappointing. I need an alt to make better use of some padded robes than my monk! :)

Thread: Dead Project? Please say no .....
OP>
Since being first mentioned, I have looked forward to playing these guys. Heck, I even went on an influence-item buying spree.
Please say it isn't a completely dead project.

I wouldn't say it's never going to happen, but I probably wouldn't hold out hope for it anytime soon.

So if "soon now" in Simu speak translates to about 10 years in the real world "I probably wouldn't hold out hope for it anytime soon" must literally mean maybe in 200 years in the real world.

One day they will make savants. And then the savants will rise up and take control. eventually they will send one of their own back in time to kill the leader of the resistance before he can rise up and lead the non-mental professions.

Darkpiper's response on the officials...
"Sad sad sadface."
I think that pretty well sums it up. Doesn't get much worse than triple sadface.

Eh, I would prefer GMs say something rather than outright ignore requests for information.

I think the colossal failure here isn't that they haven't implemented them, but that they announced them as a class in the first place.

I think they'll be implemented at some point, but honestly all I want out of them is the Major Mental spell list.

Yes. I totally agree. 100%.

Most of us who have played for a long time understand the revolving door that is GMs in GS. Sometimes new GMs come in with a plan, some project they want to work on, and they get it started, but then they either quit or get canned, and nobody else picks up their torch.
While this isn't directly the case for Savants, it certainly has an impact when you consider the overall volume of things trying to be done, and allocation of resources for particular projects. Its a tangled web they weave.

I have little to no confidence in any timeline given by GMs, in the past I've been told they had no clue when a project would be done and it was done two days later, and I am sure we are all familiar with the many soon responses in the past. I honestly believe they are better off saying they have no idea then giving an actual timeline anyway, if we have no deadline its harder for us to be upset its missed, and we are pleased when we get something at all.

Dropping an item in an out of the way place then logging into another character really quickly worked for me, and it can work for you, too.

The post title wasn't meant to imply that I'd rather not have Estild reply honestly, it was just a play on words. I agree that its much better when a reply is given even if its not something I'd like to hear.

Neat. So can you set it to be picked up by a character not logged in, so as to transfer items between characters on one account?

And the sack costs about a dollar too considering 100 blood script is pretty easy to manage even in the sewers.

Yup. The one item thing is a pain if you've got a large quantity but for smaller things or like, an uber weapon, it's perfect. According to Analyze the ones off the shelf are locked, leading me to believe they can be unlocked to hold larger quantities.

Only a Cleric, Empath or Savant has the natural ability to gain true benefits from meditating.
You kneel down and begin to meditate on your lot in life.

Someone tell those stupid, knee-jerk asswipes to give Forget back to sorcerers until they get around to actually making the profession we lost it in favor of (many, many years ago). I bet the website still says Necro lore affects Disease, too...
