So I have a "full-length mage's cloak trimmed with archaic runes".
It's 8lbs, holds exceptional, and can be further lightened/deepened.
Is it at all possible to get this to 5 lbs and hold at least a huge amount? I'd like to know before I ask a merchant to lighten it and it ends up getting to 6 and becomes max l/d and it's still at exceptional.
Could I ASSIST to have a GM look at it for me to let me know before I do anything? Or would I just need to ask whatever merchant was doing the lightening/deepening first to see what they thought? Not sure if ASSISTing is proper in that scenario or not.
Also, it's not an issue that it's a "mage's cloak", is it? Meaning a GM wouldn't get it and say "hmmm, mage's cloak isn't allowed, I have to change it now...". Analyze says it's free from merchant restrictions.
Would it be best to have lightened down as much as 1 level just before being max l/d for it's current capacity, then look to have it epic deepened, or just deepened? If getting it epic deepened means I have to pay $300 to attend an RtCF type of deal, then I'm not going to do that anyway.
