Buyout offers are typically a 300% or above markup of the current bid. I'm not about to step into this guy's auction, but quit being a baby. Someone knew you'd keep bidding, and offered a VERY LARGE BONUS for him to shut down the auction and sell it to him as a buyout. I know you understand the word buyout. You play Gemstone.

So are you annoyed you didn't have a chance to improve on the buyout? Or just that you were trying to get a cheap deal? If you wanted it that bad, you should have given him a very nice offer. Hence the word buyout. Which is what someone else did. Maybe you'd have gone to 2mil and beyond, but you didn't because someone caught on early and nipped it in the bud.
