They were awards from the pay runs, in 3x and 4x RPA forms. They gave you RPA's. They were removed from all pay run award listings for a couple people heavily exploiting them.

Here's a decent, but not perfect, example.

Cocaine dealer is on the corner of a dead-end street. One way in and out. Selling rock for 30 bucks a baggie. Sweet. Has tons of business. It's a bad neighborhood, fairly scary for easily intimidated people.

Guy buys over 3,000 dollars of cocaine baggies from the cocaine dealer. Then goes and sets up shop one corner down, out of the view of the cocaine dealer. Anyone going to the dead-end street has to pass by him. He advertises his cocaine, twice as expensive, for the same amount. 75-80% of the people interested in cocaine buy it because it's instant gratification and the neighborhood is safer where the guy is.

The Cocaine dealer loses a TON of business. Doesn't know why. Goes up the street one day, finds out this guy's selling his product at a huge markup, causing him a loss of funds. Cocaine dealer shoots the guy, takes back the remaining stash that hasn't been sold.

A cocaine dealer can shoot a rival drug dealer, thus preventing them from continuing to infringe on his business.

Simutronics could not do that to these couple people without pulling a huge customer outrage situation.

Like I said. Not an awesome example. But it gets the general point across of what happened. This happened on a VERY large scale.

Well, unless you are with a big crew you pay for product out of pocket. To make a profit and, if you're a user, keep some for your own personal party, you need to overcharge while still being competitive. In the hypothetical you provided, the dealer is also the supplier and only needs to replace the cost of production.

$30 is for their product, which if anyone ever offers to sell you something for 1/3rd of the typical going rate of a street drug, it's likely shit.

They just forgot to consider "but Buckwheet/Fleurs/TGO/Kitsun". When they were kindly reminded by the abuse of the nice enjoyable offering by these "metagamer" folks, they were pulled, and not before.

As far as F2P? I doubt their decision to restrict anything was influenced in the slightest by people like me. Why? Because if I wanted to I could have scripted the shit out of the game using 30 day free trials and earn tons and tons of silvers to flood the market with. But I never did. So you have zero examples to back up that asinine claim. I don't find that enjoyable in the slightest.

You never saw my crew like Tsin's old crew just camping places and coin/box farming. It just never happened.

So each orb would give you like 75-80,000 experience. So lets say $20 per week and 150,000 experience. You said a couple years. So lets go with 2. You would have spent $2,000 and earned double cap. That is certainly not going to max out all meaningful skills. So in order to do that you would need to look at some of the high experience players and I believe most of the core and beneficial things cap out closer to like 40m experience. So you would need to spend roughly $4,000 to earn 4x cap plus if you were a hard core player and could cap in two years which is easily doable. Your origial statement didn't say starting from cap to then finish capping your skills. So I started at level 0. I am not a hard core player that could normally earn 300,000 experience plus per month. I was more like a 50k a week player. So the price would go up by 50% for me to $6000 in orbs. You would have ~$400 in monthly sub costs.

Basically, one level of cap, costs $1000 and you had to run the event. Which took 1-2 hours depending on your success rate. So this wasn't exactly a spend $10 and get the orb. If you didn't go in with the correct class make up it could be very difficult and time consuming. So all I am saying is take whatever experience level you are on and how much you want to get to and each 7.5m experience is $1000.

I've got notated math for 69 4x RPA's and they all ended between 84,800 and 85,200. 3x and below were different end values. I was insanely OCD about my math when I had an RPA, because I was mathing the hours it took me to get to cap from zero.

Mine could have overlapped with XXX too many times as you are cut off at 6x total. Not 7x. But the general math still stands. $900-$1000 in orbs for 7.5m experience.

Yeah, I remember when I was doing RPA research and found out the cap was 6x not 7x, on a degrading scale that reduced your RPA boost instead of your gift boost, which further degraded your total XP intake. It was a big thing. And I even assisted about it.

Never got fixed. Figures.

a 4x rpa is base exp PLUS 3x, 3x gift is the base exp +2x. You can't count your base twice. so 4x rpa plus fresh gift is 6x.

I second this advice. Adding Zep, Jackwhisper, IW and Tisket to that list reduces the overall PC derp factor significantly, I've found.
