1 Week after Resubbing

And meh. None of my old friends are around anymore and everyone seems so far ahead. All items worth having are insanely expensive. The cooperative house I'm in seems completely inactive. So far the game has pretty much been hunt, sit at the Dais, rinse, repeat. Even with over 300 people on, I just sit here.

Any active houses recruiting? What else can I do to get socially involved and have fun? Who wants to be my frandddd?

Storyline events are primarily based in Landing and those environs, as that's where the majority of players are.
If you want a small clique of people that play together, go to Teras. They kill each other for laughs, so be prepared for that.
If you want a place people will come for you if you die instantly, go to Icemule. The population is sparse, but very interactive.
If you want a place where people are elitist RP snobs, go to River's Rest. Nuff said about that.

EN is just..... sort of boring. And I hunt there on a capped cleric. ^^.

I spent a lot of time in RR and yeah they can be pretty elitist. Some good roleplay though if you can join the community, though, or at least there was years ago.

I lost it on someone in RR in Feb of last year when I was hunting my little cleric *who was then in their 50s trying to hunt there solo. Sorta rough* aned I kept to myself. I saw someone die, and ran there. Did not realize I had rubbed one of my imbedded amulets when trying to rub my crystal one. I was invis. Walked in, and there was a RR native talking shit to the dead body, trying to RP how they were not sorry the person was dead, that their body was better served as worm food, and they wouldn't drag a gnome if their own life depended on it. I called them an arsehole, totally IC, and fogged the person out.

I was so disappointed, it defied reason. I've not stepped foot in RR since. Not even for Picklefest, which I LOVED because of the Fleurs hatred that happened two years ago.

No. They were a cleric, who ran to the body, found out they were a gnome, and instead of saying, "I don't like gnomes. Goodbye." and snubbing their nose, they sat down and started harassing the body to wait for them to decay. I waited a good four minutes *watching the clock timer from their death in my window* before intervening.

It may have been that way then or that person specifically but that does not seem to be the case now; I find RR to be a pretty friendly place now. I hunt everything from a mid 50's wizard to a teenage sorcerer and people seem pretty friendly to all my alts. If someone rots it is mostly because there are just not many people over there. It is the price of hunting over there at times. I find the RP to be good but not over the top and the loot is better than anywhere else I have hunted in the lands since there is so little hunting pressure.

I dragged my Paladin over to RR for a Citadel hunting binge and have only seen exactly two people during my stay there so far. It's a bit spooky, to be honest.

I don't mind a quieter area though it can be rough for deaths. I hate to see a few "bad" people ruin it for others. There are definitely a bunch of good people playing that are always willing to help - with an occasional waiting period as they get through their mockeries :) - Just be sure to stay away from that Soulance guy.

Illistim is insanely boring, it's just hunt/bounty/dais repeat like you said, but the hunting is so easy and automatic it's hard to pass up. I'm looking forward to being able to hunt Nelemar and moving to Teras permanently on my empath. I always had the most fun on Teras.

Pretty much the whole EN can be insanely boring. I've had some great RP opportunities there but beyond that, it's just hunt, rest, repeat. The creatures are also pathetically easy so tasks are burned straight through.

I don't go to GS to enjoy fighting alongside people in combat, chatting it up with a rogue while I get my boxes picked, or flitting around a costume party or wedding. I like braving cold hard streets of Old Ta'Faendryl all alone. I like scaling the mountain as I ascend Pinefar into the Rift. I like resting on the obscure hunting-area node and being virtually undetected.

Basically couldn't give a fuck about the interaction side of GS. Yawn. I'd feel more at home in a room with a swirling void.
