I'm hardly in-game enough these days to justify this plate and will probably just trade down to something more modest...depending, of course, on what people think this armor is worth.
I think I've had it 5 or 6 years now. I've had it enchanted a couple more times, but haven't had any other work done to it and the only time I wanted to get the pauldrons removed, the merchant refused.
some alizarin-streaked golvern battle plate set with thin spikes
18 pounds
+35
superbly padded against critical blows
>analyze my plate
You analyze your golvern battle plate and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.
The creator has also provided the following information:
You sense that the plate can be altered, but bear in mind that no matter what the merchant does, the pauldrons and hardened look of the armor cannot be removed.
This armor has a creature on the right pauldron that can change by SLAPping the plate. Some merchants may be able to change the images on your pauldrons, though the options are quite limited.
You can try to RUB, POKE, SLAP, KNOCK, and WEAR the plate.

I'm sick and tired of all this sick ass plate being sold. I'm re-rolling my wizard. Fuck leathers.

Right? Though personally, I prefer damage padding on plate. It's not that crit-padding isn't always helpful, but Plate is itself pretty damn crit padded.
Not that I wouldn't give my left arm to own this plate, mind you.

Odds are, if someone is lusting after this- it means they don't have anything like it. In which case, they probably have no idea how to value it.
But at least we're bumping the thread.

Now that I've had a moment to change my pants...this is easily 250m. Probably more.

Need me to assess this armor?
+35 is phenomenal padding, not superb (+25ish), so either the number or descriptor are off.
Nevermind, that's the enchant. I'm sleepy.

Yes +35 is the enchant, not the padding level.
Thanks for the price range. I think I bought it for 180m or so, so glad to see it has probably appreciated.

I think you're in the 350m range, and it would have been more prior to CCF. Tbe supply of high end armor has gone up significantly, but this is still the top end of the plate scale, at least for crit padding.

I think this is a fair assessment when compared to my 10x 5 pound plate with padding and 30% impact resists. That sold for around this price and you would need some decent number crunchers to tell you what trade offs are between the armors.

Thanks again -- sounds like this is the time to unload it...maybe start bidding at 200m with 350m BO? Or maybe I should just put out at 300m OBO and see what comes in? Any advice appreciated.
and PS> Are folks really that rich out there?

Do you take payment plans? 1 million silvers a month?

200-350 seems solid. I'd have bid the 200 if i felt like playing.

If Ardwen would pay 250, it's worth at LEAST 350!
