Whats the stupidest messaging in game you've seen?

this kinda bugs me:

The vultite-tipped arrow sticks in a black forest viper's left arm!

When you tap a cloud.

Someone showed me that when the vaalor ferry first comes into sight (I forget the messaging) you can tap it and lean against it.
Thats pretty silly too

You utter a light chant and raise your hands, beckoning the lesser spirits to aid you with the Call Lightning spell...
Your spell is ready.

You gesture at a short sword.
You notice a small cloud form over a short sword.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

You tap a churning cloud.

Yes, you can do it. You can also do it with the tempest from a Maelstorm.


You gesture.
A stiff breeze begins to swirl around you.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

You tap a raging tempest.

PS: You can also cast wizard shield at the bank in the Landing.

It's not messaging, but I always scream at the room between IMT and the Landing where you wish you were part goat. Like, in any universe, I'd EVER wish I was part goat.....

When someone locksmithing breaks his or her pick, it reads something like...

"Soandso mutters some unprintables."

I hate that line. Not only does it force us to swear (I'm not going to swear if I break a copper pick), and it is completely OOC.

A lot of the recent verbs are just terrible. I don't know about anyone else, but when BOUNCE was added I remember it vividly as one of the worst days in GS ever.

Also there are several commands which seem to have been added just to annoy DikuMUD players: rest, score, etc.

Also SEARCH ON or SEARCH AT used to produce really strange results, like "English System Parsing Error" or something like that.

A few times I received strange system messaging when I tried to pick up bugged objects that for some reason could not be picked up...sometimes you can find these outside the lockers in Moot Hall.

Also halflings still can't ambush giant rats in the head, GS insists the rats really are giant :P
