I need to level up my evil grl so I can kill Vornavians without 4925681.738 spellz on her. Took me forever to kill that ONE Vornavian soldier. Then a *DOG* from the SIDE THAT I AM FIGHTING ON killed me and Jihna got lost in the Temple of Lorminstra after decay only to be saved from the eeeevil Lorminstrans by some roguish fellow. I want to say Haxley but I'm just not sure. That made me laugh my ass off.

Jihna is currently in the Inn carressing her ego with some hard liquor.

The "Good" will stay how they are now. Won't attack you unless you attack first, and then from that point on they will remain hostile towards you.

The "Evil" will slaughter mercilessly unless a GM adds you to the 'allies' list, through good role-play or what not. Still may be attacked due to uncontrollable minions.

I can understand the small group getting the attention. Usually, it's the people that devote hundreds of ingame hours to really imerse themselves in a quest and to actually develope key roles. Most of the time they RP some aspect of the quest even when GMs arn't looking and help push it further a long. Of course, the GMs are then going to focus more on them. They put the time in to really be a part of it and really RP it. Not just show up here and there. You can't expect it any other way.

I think I care less that it's an Empath and more so becuase they are healing people and being tipped for their servies. In the same instance those tips are being pocketed by the same Rogue that begs for healing when they are killed when caught stealing. It's a cycle, but not one so viscious as it would appear. That shows something about a persons character as well. If a Rogue is stolen from while in the process of stealing, you'd think they'd care, at least somewhat.

You make it sound like this service gains them nothing. Trust me, healing is far from selfless, as it was in Gemstone of old. Empaths can learn a ridiculous amount from healing, expecially during invasions. The money is sort of an icing on the cake. If they can't make a quick run to the bank, I'm sorry, but it's too bad. Them learning is tip enough too me.

Stealing is stealing... and during an invasion no less is the point I'm making, is pretty low. It's an opportune time, and smart for a dirty rogue who RP's that way. However, it is what it is. Stealing can be helpful. The good natured rogue can be unecumbering said 'puff.

Accually I spent 100's of hrs with this quest since the beginning so that doesn't always matter to some who close their groups tightly about them...

After months of rping it ALL the time I gave up and just wish it would be done...

Where to start...

How about you trust me, then, hm? I can promise you, the healing I do is not done for material gain or learning. I heal because I wish to help people. If I'm not healing people, 99% of the time I'm in town, chatting with my friends. I will heal you if you ask, but I'm not going to go looking for people to heal because I want the learning or the money. If I didn't want to help people, I wouldn't be an empath.

To add to that, wounds HURT! They're not fun, and when I take more severe wounds, I might pass out because of the pain. I can't tell you how many times I've healed people from really serious wounds and have had people hug me. Bloody annoying.

I HATE invasions. Most of the time, not only is there immense pressure to heal someone immediately with no consideration that the healer is going through a lot, about to bleed to death, almost out of mana and in a buttload of pain, but there is a crap load of competition amongst the empaths. Etiquette, which normally binds empaths together, falls apart and they're reduced to backbiting catfights. Um... no, thanks. I think I'll sit that one out.

Do I make a lot of money from healing? No. Fact, I have less than 30k in the bank right now. I also don't care if someone tips me or not. I'd rather have someone be genuinely grateful than feel they have to give me money to make themselves feel better. I still will be ticked off if someone stole from me. Whatever money I have I earned through laying down my health, my comfort and my life down to keep your butt alive just so you can run out and get cut to pieces yet again. If that doesn't earn money, I don't know what will.

Nilandia, you are honestly the exception. I wouldn't hate empaths as bad if most were like your character. In fact, I have a field day RPing with Empaths like that (No, it's not always happy, fuzzy RP). The fact is, you are in the minority and the minorities voice is rarely heard in GS.

I am an empath. I am a healer. I am here to make sure you are healthy and in one piece. Those wounds I take cause real pain, thank you very much. I have taken so much pain before that most people can't imagine, and wounds that would kill a person, yet I have to live and continue working while other people beg for my help without understanding that I'm about to pass out from pain and bloodloss.
I am not happy if you come back from a hunt bleeding from every part of your body and fall face down to the ground and yell at me, demanding that I heal you. I am happy when you come back from a hunt in one piece. I would rather you healthy than full of wounds that I must take upon myself.
I am not a robot or an NPC that you can come to at your leisure. I am not going to jump on you as soon as I hear the words "Healing" or "Bleeding." If you treat me like dirt, you'll be lying in it. Just make sure you land face up so someone else can pour the flask in.
