Loot Crate (http://looted.by/bUgV4) is a pretty cool subscription based service I've belonged to now for almost a year that is still fairly new.

Basically it comes with a decent amount of nerdy/geeky items in it that vary month to month based on the Theme for that month. Some items in the "crate" are mystery items and have different variations. So not everyone will get the same item for example, however other items in the crate are the same for everyone.

There is also a chance for usually 1 person to win a mega crate, and sometimes numerous people to win special crates every month. Most mega crate's have value's of like $1000 or more. This past month came with I think a 3D printer, an oculus rift and some other stuff.

This past month's theme for example was "Rewind". It came with a Marvel Star Wars comic with loot crate variant art cover, a sweet Voltron t-shirt, and some other things. Typically the retail value of the box exceeds the price you actually pay monthly for it, so you definitely get your money's worth in that regards. The only issue some people may run into is having things in the month, that you aren't really fond of, but that's going to be an obvious. The best part about that stuff then is you can usually just re-gift the items to someone else you may know who'd like it.

They also have alot of exclusive rights too with companies like Star Wars, Marvel etc

Does anyone else use this service? I know maybe one or two other people who do, so I'm curious to see if anyone else does.

And if you are interested, check out the link in my first line. I can even answer any questions about it or give more examples of cool shit you get in them.

I've considered it, but basically I don't want a bunch of plastic from china every month cluttering up my house.

I have too many magic cards to store any of that.

I got one for Christmas. It was "okay" but not worth the money. There'll be something in there you like, but the rest is just shit.

Yeah, that's another way alot of people have been using it. Hand me downs for their kids who crave toys all the time haha...I still think it's worth it overall, although like Stray mentioned he didn't.

It depends I guess what you consider worth it, typically in any of these subscription based boxes you'll always get "filler" stuff. I'd just rather get all nerdy/gamer stuff myself.

The Funko Pop guys are cool, and I'll definitely be wearing that Space Invaders tie.
