Who might be interested in getting together for some board games in Portland, OR?

Leifa, let me check with the bf and folks here on the last weekends in Feb or March-- at the moment either seems fine to me.

Re: shows - What kind of music do you want to see? I can try and find something interesting.

Looks like it's just us, Leifa! I just learned that my neighbors play a pretty fun show the 4th Saturday of every month at a local bluegrass-type bar. Some time when I'm not at work I can look up other scheduled stuff.

I have a friend in the hospital who was involved in a car crash. Sadly, my free time goes to sitting with them. And, on top of that, I have another friend who's in the hospital fresh off their first round of chemo. So, again, am walking around a hospital.

Maybe another time. =)

My first friend regained consciousness after fighting in and out of a coma for nigh on two months. We're all desperately relieved that he's recovering. The chemo is responding well in my other friend. So far, it looks like green across the board, but we will see. I hate hospitals, but it's something you gotta do when friends are hurt. I'll make sure to pass along the best wishes of the secret anal attacker from my MUD community. =P

Games at Guardian Games around 2pm -- 345 SE Taylor St, Portland, OR 97214. With the number of people coming, it looks like we are likely to split into subgroups.. I requested a reservation of 2 large tables, and I'm awaiting confirmation. I'll post again with info when they get back to me....

After games: Laurelthirst Public House at 2958 NE Glisan St, Portland, OR 97232, for my neighbor's birthday bluegrass gig if you wish.

Table reservation at Guardian Games confirmed! Bonus info: Our table is in the 21+ zone and they serve beer.

I suspect some of y'all will want some kind of food between games and music.. Please check out these Yelp reviews (http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=dinner&find_loc=345+SE+Taylor+St,+Portland,+OR+97214) and determine what you want. We may or may not descend on one establishment together, so I am not even going to try to make dinner reservations anywhere. I am leaning toward going to Nicolas so whoever is into pita bread and hummus is welcome to come wait for a table with us.

I find irony in the fact that it's the Emerald City Comicon weekend and we're going to Portland. I wasn't impressed with the lineup this year, honestly, but I am SUPER excited about this GS gathering's lineup.
