So what! The twins are tied for first place and Johan Santana is named AL pitcher of the month for august and im damn pleased :)

Im talking about Major League Baseball and the Minnesota Twins who are tied for first place in the american league central division.

The american league is much more entertaining to watch then some skinny pitcher who strikes out on three straight pitches. I want my big fat over the hill softball playing DH who slugs homers left and right over the skinny wussy is lucky to get the bat on the ball pitcher anyday.

I really haven't been much into sports over the last few years. I may have to start watching the Cubs and that dirty bat corker Sosa though.

Right but you're not arguing that pitchers hit better than DH's are ya? One lucky pitcher does not make them good hitters.

I remember baseball. I was good at hitting the ball with the stick but I hated running around all those lil plastic things on the ground. At first, I didn't know which order to run to them in, and then when I did, I thought it was stupid. I told the little league coach, "That's dumb. Why do you run all around those plastic things just to get back to the one you started at? Why not just stay there?"

He got very annoyed with me.

White Sox suck, I say this only cause they allowed themselves to get swept by Satan's Disciples (The Boston Red Sox) and gain some games on my beloved Yankees :(

Yay! The Twins are the American League Central Division Champions! All i gotta say is bring on those Yankees! The Twins have the best record of ANYONE since the all star break.

Cubs moved out to first last night. :D And it's well past the all-star break.

I'm not one for Baseball history, but I believe the last time the Cubs won a pennant was the early 1900's... before WWI. That could be the World Series, not the pennant.... Either way, Cubs are making history. I just hope they don't follow tradition and blow it.
