I've been getting this message:
[repository: downloading infomon...]
[repository: error: infomon.lic requires Lich version > 4.6.10; your current Lich version is 4.4.22]
[repository: done]

I went to update lich and I followed the directions on the website. Downloaded, extracted to a generic location, copied over the new lich.rbw file, data folder and scripts folder. I tried to run SGE and when it comes to the game launch part, nothing happens. I tried to manually start lich, nothing happens.

Tried rebooting just to see if that would do anything, no change.

If I copy back my old lich files, everything works again.

What is the correct way to update?

I can't read your post.

I keep getting stuck on HURRRRRRR and laugh uncontrollably.

I don't see anything about updating ruby. Did you do that?

Ruby is now non-functioning. I use the rubyinstaller link from the Lich page and downloaded/installed the 2.0.0-p598 version. If I try to run lich directly, I get messages about assorted files being missing. If I try to log in from the SGE, it says rubyw.exe is missing.

Uninstalling everything and following the directions on the lich page does not work, either.

Are these the messages from step 5 in the instructions, or something else?

It's the messages from step 5. Black window comes up, nothing happens. I've let it sit for a few minutes, but I can leave it longer if you think that will work. Or maybe I need to uninstall, reboot, and start again?

The black box isn't terribly fast, but it seems to be getting stuck recently. If no text shows up after a few minutes, you can reboot and try again.

It looks like it was just stuck. I left it alone for a good while and eventually it worked. I had to do that each time, but everything is installed.

Thank you for the help!
