Well, since the other video seemed to be well received, and at the risk of being called a huge nerd, I thought it would be fun to do another about the players and their characters, races and professions.
Here's a list of things I have planned so far. I just decided to do this so the list is very weak. My game time has mostly been centered around Landing so suggestions about other areas would be welcome. And any suggestions or ideas really that will round out the list would be appreciated:
Thrak: giving his New Adventurer lecture.
Catacombs
The Cross Into Shadows has impacted players recently and I'll probably use images from that storyline but suggestions from other events that anyone would like visualized?
Graveyard
Cleric: raising, blessing weapon
Rogue: picking boxes
Wizard: some spell of course but which one?
Sorcerer: see note for wizard
Empath: healing, bone shattering?, rescuing
Warrior: never played one so need suggestions
Paladin: never played one so need suggestions
Monk: never played one so need suggestions
Ranger: archery, companion animal,
Bard: playing an instrument (duh), gem purifying?
Races/culture representations: elf (dark, sylvan, etc), halfling, dwarf, aelotoi (sp?), gnome, giant, erithian
I'd like to do some of characters that have helped out the general population over time as well, like Tsoran, Nilandia, Tillmen, etc. but I'll need names and text descriptions of them.
Monster representations and hunting area suggestions: I've played off and on for years but never hunted any high level areas other than the Rift. If someone wants something done of a particular hunting area and monsters there, they'll have to feed me the pertinent text descriptions.
If I've done someone's character portrait, I'm not averse to using it in one of these images but, lacking specific permission to do so, I'll use generic character types instead. It is another way to get another character portrait though but, while I'll only use characters whose actual profession works with whatever I'm depicting, you will be allowed little input in other aspects of the shot. If this is agreeable remind me what your character name and profession is and if there have been any significant changes to their look since the last portrait was completed.
If anyone feels like giving me a cut and paste of what the text description is for different actions, like spells, attacks, etc. it'd be really helpful too. Song suggestions to be used in the video would be okay too if anyone has one they think would work. edit: thanks to Soulance I can look up the spell messaging myself. Suggestions about which to use are still welcome though.
It took me months to complete the last video and I expect the same will be true of this one. I have to fit this hobby in where I can and time spent on it is sometimes very limited. I like having a project though so this should keep me happily puttering for a while. So thanks in advance.

Being a Cleric myself, albeit a bad one, I'd suggest one of the messages on krakii : http://gswiki.play.net/mediawiki/index.php/Raise_Dead#Messaging Personally, Charl is a good choice...;) Maybe a Clerical type standing over a "fallen comrade" ready to raise them up, the fallen player with a white-ish aura about them (the link)... But maybe that's getting too detailed. Oh, and Bermuda shorts - lots of colors!
Charl
Moisture beads on the skin of Cleric and Body as the former's eyes cloud over with the darkness of a rising storm. Power builds upon the air, causing the hair upon your arms to rise, and as Cleric utters the last words of his spell you hear the rumble of thunder in his voice. The rolling sound collides with Body's prone form, its very touch creating a brilliant flash that suffuses her in raw spiritual energy.
This one would be kinda neat to "see" too...
With each passing moment during Cleric's slow chant, his eyes flutter rhythmically. He folds his right arm and rests his chin upon his hand, then gazes down at you, as if contemplating your very existence. Blinking once, Cleric thrusts his hand over you, and crackling, raw power flows from Cleric's fingertips into your body, jolting you back to life.

For a Pally, I always like the messaging for the 1613 spell - https://gswiki.play.net/mediawiki/index.php/Guard_the_Meek_(1613) - I think that'd look pretty cool. Then probably a sword and board or a large claid or something with some nice Plate on him possibly.
Mine has chain I think that has that lightning messaging where bolts of blue electricity coil around the armor or something like that.
As you thrust your eonake flail toward the heavens, a soft vibrant red pulse of pure spiritual energy rises from its apex, washing over you and those nearby.

Sure. I had a shield on my old Cleric that had something like a "Emblazoned....Cleric standing over a fallen Comrade". Wish I could get that character back!

Yea, krakii has lots of good stuff. I wanted to get an account on there so I could edit a few things for my Eonake following Pally. Now we all have one so I can finally help!

Monks.. hmmm. Posing in a martial arts stance like a badass. This would excite all 3 players who have monks in game.

Fucking NERD!
J/K
From an artist standpoint, I feel like the worst thing ANYONE could ever do to their self is to have that thought in the back of their head about what other people would think of not only the actual artist but their art themselves. I find alot of people, struggling or not, who have that kind of thought always never truly let go and progress as fast as others.
Not saying that is you, but it's definitely something I wouldn't try to fall into the habit of doing.
Criticism, constructive or not, is always great to get. The biggest hurdle I think for most is getting over that barrier of being shy and completely showing off your artwork or what you love to do in fear of things happening just like that...Be it being called a nerd, people making fun of the art or method in which you display it off etc.
So definitely show off as much as you can, you already know the biggest critic for art is typically yourself.

Be funny to have someone impaled on top of the Graveyard Gate - that's where I usually ended up when I used to climb it. And that gatekeeper always slamming it shut!! Many good times in the Crypt too. That urn in there used to take quite a bit of abuse from this old cleric.

do two for wizards. one erecting a pillar or swirling fire engulfing a creature. the other firing a million little lightning balls.
whichever is more badass finally wins the "immolate or rapid fire+901" argument.
sorc i think you gotta go with animate dead but, eye spy might be fun.

From CiS, I think the pylon charging and firing might be a pretty cool scene to feature... They were a really neat group-effort.
Player A places his hands on the glowing blue-white pylon, and closes his eyes... The pylon seems to glow dimly.
Player B places her hands on the levers of the blue-white pylon and pulls. Straining, she manages to tilt the pylon up, and it clicks into place.
Player C steadies the glowing blue-white pylon and fires! The bolt of energy soars through the sky, slamming into the side of a deep black elven airship! A HIT!
You're welcome to use your Seo model in a gem purifying scene if you like, and feel free to do one where the gem is exploding and shards are flying everywhere, lol. Another exciting bard activity is blowing your group to hell when losing control of Song of Power :embarrassed:

I just saw your post because apparently my eyes only register every other post but, I'm wondering...have you been paying any attention here at all? I've been posting my shit for like two years now and I most definitely am a nerd and not a bit shy about it. I couldn't care less if people tease me about it, I actually encourage it and thoroughly enjoy receiving positive AND negative feedback.
But your post is good encouragement for anyone else who is timid about posting their stuff. It's totally cool even if it's bad or amateurish. God knows I've certainly posted my share of those too but the funny thing is that you end up learning more from the duds than the successes. They might make you wince a year from now but they also are useful in showing your progression and growth.
SO JUST DO IT!

IF AND WHEN you do the Thrak lecture...
Have the fire roaring behind him, him standing huge and tall, with a bunch of new adventurers sitting indian style on the floor in front of him.....
And off on one side, is an especially young adventurer... with a vibrantly colored turnip he's munching on.

Definitely have to have a scarab laying on the floor with active runes for the rogue... Or a scale trap going off. Heh...

Oh no way, she can do so much with that.
Like the cover page for a How-To booklet for rogues. Disarming For Dummies.
In true comic-box style, have a four block comic.
Top left: Rogue gets handed box.
Top right: Rogue searches for traps.
Bottom left: Rogue pulls LMAS PTRICK SPIN...or wotever it is where he spins it in the air.
Bottom right: Inserts the pick, and a blood red scarab is shown in midflight heading towards the rogue's face.
In a big KAPOW cloud type thing it says DON'T LET THIS BE YOU!
....I'd buy that Dummy book.

Wizard: casting Meteor Swarm and making a break for it
Sorcerer: animating the dead, you can dial the grossness up to 11!
Empath: hugging!!!
Warrior: grousing that they don't have sought after skills like everyone else to the old warrior who is ignoring them because he's an NPC
Paladin: comparing each others' holy glows
Monk: there's a wing chun training dummy that I see Jackie Chan wailing on all the time

I think the boot is still there isn't it? I should be able to get you a description tomorrow (hopefully) if you still need one. I imagine someone standing over an old, dingy boot which might be glowing on the inside and they're holding an amulet over it about to drop it in... But again, it's your imagination! :)

>look at Helga
This is Helga. She's not pretty. She's not petite. But she's the boss in this establishment.
Sleepy just happened to be there too :
>look at guard
You see a weathered looking human in his mid thirties. He's wearing some standard brigandine armor with the insignia of Wehnimer's Landing emblazoned across the breastplate. A dark red armband near his shoulder marks his place as a regularly paid member of the guard.
[Helga's Tavern, Barroom]
The blended odors of ale, sweat, leather, perfume and hearty stew fill the stifling air of the tavern. Disheveled regulars and road-weary travelers rub elbows at the wooden bar, which looks recently varnished but already bears a variety of stains and grime. Helga, the ancient, obese proprietor, moves behind the bar, wiping glasses with a dirty towel as she keeps a beady eye on the patrons. A small fireplace in one corner burns feebly, adding little light or warmth to the room. You also see a town guard, a tattered menu, a set of swinging doors, a huge cast iron stewpot, an overturned creel and Helga.
Obvious exits: north, west

I mentioned awhile ago I'd try to get the room description for the boot. Not sure if you got it already but here it is...
[Kobold Village, King's Loo - 6274]
Clearly His Majesty spends a great deal of time here when he isn't hiding from adventurers. The decor is certainly the best that generations of kobold artists have produced, the centerpiece consisting of a dented helm balanced on a stick so that it rattles a bit if you tap it. There are other equally fine treasures here, no doubt taken as spoils from the king's many victories and each almost as marvelous as the last. You also see a giant's boot.
Sorry it's so late!

Warrior berserking through a Orc warcamp. Blood shot eyes, mid dash, weapon in arc, bodies all around and gruesome faces about to be pummeled.
Paladin shielding some innocents from minotaurs or something, maybe like a child rescue bounty.
Treat the Bard like a singing swashbuckler with sonic armor and his floating weapon fighting off another creature back to back.
Sorc opening a void with one hand and phasing a box with the other, mid phase (like half of a chest becoming invisible) or practicing illusions....or summoning demons and undead.
