I find myself no longer having as much free time to game as I once did, based upon more recent changes in life and I'm still trying to find a game or two I can still play without feeling the need to constantly grind/play to keep up in it.

I debated doing some more things in Gemstone, but the game itself hasn't been so appealing to me ever since the numbers of players has slowly dropped and the prices of things are still somewhat absurd. I also thought of getting back into Hearthstone and am not still sure on how I feel about that since I'd have hardly any cards at all and would still grind it up, but it's more casual at least in many aspects so I don't think it would be an issue.

Any other games out there that are more casual like and still loads of fun? I just am trying to play something that isn't a game so dependent on playing time like most MMOs and such as I tend to feel about them now.

Shadowrun Dragonfall is pretty good.

This is tough. I feel the real divide for me is between games I can turn off at any moment and those I cannot because I'm in a raid group or something. My wife is always a little baffled when I explain that I'm in a group and can't just unplug the PS4.

I'd revisit the classics. Get an emulator and play some of the top 100 rpgs of all time you may have missed: http://www.ign.com/top/rpgs

I go back to the Quest for Glory series a lot.

I've been addicted to Plague, Inc. recently. Games are like 15-20 minutes long, try to kill everyone in the world with your disease. It's like 15 bucks on steam, still in pre-production or something. I've sunk about 30 hours into it.

The expansion for Hearthstone is out in 3 or 4 days so everyone will be starting over somewhat with the 120 new cards. You could do the daily games and buy Naxx to kill some time before the expansion and be ready to go when the expansion drops.

Binding of Isaac and Spelunky. Two great indie games that you can get a lot out of only playing a little. Crypt of the Necrodancer, Nuclear Throne, Shovel Knight, and Risk of Rain are worth checking out too.

This. Though everyone starting over is a bit drastic I think. The decks that are currently good will still be good as people learn the interactions and experiment with the new cards.

I recommend using a warlock, building something aggressive and beating down.

That is why I said starting over "somewhat". Its going to take people a while to gain the cards and for actual deck builders figure out how to play with them. You don't deck build and just webdeck then I can see that being much more difficult.

I deckbuild. I rather vainly continue to try and make a mage secret deck and a warlock demon deck good. This, and I love the arena. I'm just saving my gold for now (up to ~5k) so I can dump a ton on the new packs.

Did they come around to awarding the new packs in arena yet?

I don't pay attention to forums for blizzard games. I assume it's a point of contention that players would like new set packs as arena awards and blizzard doesn't currently plan to do that.

I would guess they will eventually, they're not terribly stubborn like some other game company we know. Either that, or they'll compromise and make it random.
