I believe this is the post from one of the events these came off the shelf. Not sure if the rules are adjusted for a t4 tent:

All sales are final, so PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU BUY! WRITE THEM DOWN!

REGISTER YOUR TENT
Your tent will not function until you register it This keeps other people from standing up or folding up your tent, or from entering it without you.

To set up and pitch your tent, you should STAND MY TENT.
To fold up your tent, you should FOLD (appropriate descriptor) TENT.

THESE LITTLE PUP TENTS CAN ONLY HOLD 2 PEOPLE *
Your friends may only be escorted into your tent in your group.
Only one extra person can enter your tent with you at a time. *
Once a guest is in your tent, there is only room remaining for you. *

TENTS ARE NOT CRITTER-PROOF *
You may not STAND your tent when enemies are present. *
Should a critter enter the area when your tent is standing, it will collapse it, and knock you, your guest, and your stuff out. *

IF YOU DIE IN A TENT BY YOURSELF, YOU CANNOT BE RESCUED!
Because of the various restrictions on the tent, if you die inside your tent without someone else inside, there is no way to be rescued.

TENTS WILL COLLAPSE AFTER 20 MINUTES OF YOU NOT BEING INSIDE
In an effort to avoid tent cities and tents being left all over the lands, the tents will collapse if you are not back inside after 20 minutes. This only works with YOU, the owner. Guests will be tossed out as the tent collapses.

COLLAPSED TENTS ARE SAFE FROM THE JANITOR FOR 5 MINUTES ONLY
Normally, the janitor will leave your tent alone, even while you're gone.
However once the tent collapses, you have 5 minutes to fold it back up before it becomes fair game for the janitor to pick up. Again, this is an effort to keept tent abandonment to a minimum.

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR TENTS LOST TO THE JANITOR
Every effort has been made to give you ample opportunity to fix a collapsed tent.

LEAVE STUFF ON THE FLOOR OF YOUR TENT AT YOUR OWN RISK
Normally, if you are present, the inside of your tent is safe from the janitor.
However, if a critter knocks your tent over, all of your items will roll outside with you. If you ABANDON your tent and it collapses, the inside of the tent becomes fair game for the janitor. You WILL lose your items.

THE MORAL: NEVER EXIT YOUR TENT WITH ITEMS LEFT ON THE FLOOR!

TENTS MAY NOT BE PITCHED INSIDE, IN TOWN, OR OTHER UNUSUAL PLACES

OTHER PEOPLE MAY NEVER ENTER YOUR TENT WITHOUT BEING JOINED TO YOU, BUT DO NOT TREAT THE INSIDE OF YOUR TENT LIKE A "PRIVATE ROOM". IT IS NOT.

ALTERATION RESTRICTIONS:
Only the INSIDE of your tent, or the color may be altered by a tent merchant. Even then, only a color that fits with "canvas" in a 15 character description will work. Long descriptions and shows are not permitted due to tent mechanics.

* Special tents won via raffle or auction are exempt from critter rules and can be pitched with critters present and will not fall down when critters are present. Also, the capacity of these special tents is 4 people.

Could the OP possibly pitch the tent and see if up to 4 people could fit? That would demonstrate whether it was off the shelf (still very nice) or anything more.

You quickly unfold the black canvas tent, pull out the stakes, and spread it all out on the correct spot of ground. After a quick moment of pulling and standing, a faded black canvas tent riddled with holes is upright and ready to go.

So one thought on these is to set it up in a node where critters don't/can't go, and then go out hunting. I just did that with the boulder in hobgoblins. I don't know if that's 100% fool proof, but it worked. Long as I came back within 20 minutes.

Yup! This is a great use for it. You just have to be careful of the timers on it

It creates a gas chamber. It's not air tight so farts do escape. Sharts last a bit longer though. Best of luck.

Hmm so essentially you could stack up all your boxes at Birthing Sands between hunts. Maybe I should keep it!
