I thought I would share this storyline I thought up concerning the Ithzir. The piece was originally posted on the SR boards.

Without question, the Ithzir have the potential to bring about the most controversial and pivotal storyline in the history of Gemstone....
The introduction of the race would begin with an Ithzir invasion; A global assault by Ithzir of all ages. Every town, every hunting ground... everywhere, the Ithzir would appear. They would quickly become the most feared and hated race of creatures on the face of Elanith.
The Ithzir would then strengthen their position at Old Ta'Faendryl, renovating where they may and building whatever else they need. With the release of the new town, people will then have the opportunity to role up Ithzir characters. They will be able to start in any towns they wish, however, due to the war, there is no protection from the law. Ithzir will be slaughtered on sight, PC or NPC.
The invasion would be lead by a cast of GM NPCs who would organize and command large groups of Ithzir, and begin to lay siege to various cities. In time, the Ithzir command would seek to recruit those who would serve them for promises of power or profit. This group would have it's own command structure of PC characters who have shown the Ithzir loyalty and wish to serve in the ongoing battles.
At first, none but the Ithzir and those that are in the Ithzir house/pro will be allowed to enter the new Ta'Faendryl town. There will be access to hunt from level 1-50 or so, with little chance for any outside forces to come in and kill you. Players will be encouraged to quickly grow in strength so that they may join the GM NPC lead army for assaults against the human towns.
An alliance of all remaining races and armies of Elanthia would be formed under control of the Elves, humans, and dwarves. This alliance, known as the Elanthian Federation shall proceed to strike out against the Ithzir in a last ditch effort to stop the spread of Ithzir oppression. In time, "Invasions" of Elanthian PC's will occur in Ta'Faendryl, and all out war will take place within the ancestral throne of power to the elves long ago. Sadly, such attempts are too little, and too late to contain the Ithzir and their continual destruction of Elanthia.
The height of the Ithzir reign shall indeed be dominant. Only Solhaven and Ta'Vaalor will remain outside the enemies hands, free of Ithzir occupation. The towns will be under constant attack, however, and it will for a time look like the days of Human and Elven rule of Elanthia will have come to an end....
It is then the Arkati will at last come to make their stand. Having stood aside long enough, The Pantheons of Liabo and Lornon will put aside their petty struggles and turn their full attention towards repelling the Ithzir invasion. Arkati such as Kai and V'Tull will take corporeal form and lead the remnants of the combined armies of Elanthia against the Ithzir threat. Slowly, the Ithzir will be forced to retreat all the way to their last remaining entrance onto our world, Ta'Faendryl.
The Ithzir, however, will not allow defeat to come without making their enemies pay ever so dearly. Sensing the inevitable and driven mad with rage, the leading Ithzir GM NPC will attempt to tear asunder the veil that separates our world from the Ithzir's. It soon becomes known that the ritual will result in the eventual destruction of both worlds.. potentially the very whole of existence. Rips in the very fabric of reality would begin to spread throughout the continent of Elanith. Creatures of the Rift and beyond would come streaming through, killing Elanthians and Ithzir forces alike.
It is then that a final assault consisting of the Elanthian elite and those Ithzir who realize the insanity of such actions will take place. A conjoined army would strike deep into the inner sanctum of Ta'Faendryl, slaying the insane Ithzir Warlord just before he finished the final incantations which would have rent time and space forever.
With the Rifts being closed once more, it grows readily apparent that the remaining Ithzir on this world are forced to remain upon Elanthia. What remains of the Ithzir command would convene with the Elanthian Federation in an effort to reach an agreement that would finally end the now pointless slaughter.
The siege upon Ta'Faendryl would be lifted. In turn, Elanthian citizens would be free to enter the settlement provided that they will submit to Ithzir law. The last remaining forces of the Anti-Elanthian House which stood against the Elanthian Federation would be put on trial; their leaders executed. A few of the most fanatical Ithzir and Elanthian sympathizers will escape through a rift of their own creation, leaving in their place only dark curses and forboding promises of revenge.
With the war over, the Elanthian Federation is absolved and the Arkati leave the realms, now content to remove themselves from the affairs of Elves and men. Ithzir are now free to travel throughout Elanthia. However, should any their kind wish protection under town laws, they must seek a hard earned permit with the local government. By most, the Ithzir will be shunned and despised, an unwanted race upon a planet and plane of existence that is not their own. Such is the fate of the vanquished...Or is it?
