So, I have noticed more difference from 2x CM and 1x with dirtkick and sweep. TO see it, you need to test on something close to your level. Trying on someone way lower level than you won't show it. Its possible other scenarios won't show the difference between 1x and 2x CM, for instance, some CMs really on secondary skills such cheapshots (which looks at ambush training as well as CM training). I recall seeing differences in the range of 10-12 between these two training styles, which checking against like level at about 11-12 trains, on "pure CM" CMANs such sweep, dirtkick, and feint. I recall seeing less difference in CMANs that are reliant on a secondary skills, such as cheapshot.
I just finished some testing on 3x CM vs 2x CM with sweep and dirtkick. Incidentally, I am rank 3 in sweep and 5 in dirtkick. I say incidentally, because it seemed to not have an effect on the difference.
At 28 trains, I have 57 ranks of CM. With enhancives, I have 86 ranks of CM. I tested against Mezics (33 trains). Testing was by recording endroll and roll with enhancives on, finding the difference, then doing the same with enhancives off.
Enhancives on:
- lots of differences of 100 observed on sweep.
- lots if differences of 95 observed on dirtkick.
Enhancives off:
- lots of differences of 95 on sweep.
- lots of differences of 90 on dirtkick.
EDIT - notice how even at rank 5 dirtkick, I had better chances from rank 3 sweep. This is because I had a 25 "bully" bonus coming from being a giantman that towers over the puny mezic (the last time I saw such a high bonus was gnolls!). Also, the bully bonus seemed to be worth more than 2 ranks, confirming that the extra 2 ranks of dirtkick are contributing a hidden +20 bonus.
To summarize, in both cases, sweep and dirtkick, I saw a difference of 5 associated with the extra 29 ranks of CM.
I wouldn't be surprised if I saw more difference in uphunting a square type (mezics are casters for those who don't know, and I bet I already had them overwhelmed training wise with 2x CM). I'll see if I can test this and report back. In any case, I'd expect someone testing a different CM that is not fully reliant on CM training to see less of a difference (from my past testing on this).
