Yesterday the hosting company took down the website at around 10 AM EST to identify the source and mitigate the issue. It appears as though the DDOS attack is over but the hosting company will continue to monitor the situation and may have to take the site down again if it recurs.

Whether it's related to lnet or not I have no idea, but these forums have been subject to smaller DDOS attacks in the past (ones which did not completely take down the site but did cause lag).
