View Full Version : Coke, Pepsi or Sobe?

09-03-2003, 08:33 PM
Which do you prefer, assuming you were thirsty and these drinks were all you had? Sobe is a catch all catagory for Snapple and other similar non-carbonated juice drinks.

Sobe by far. Though I do admit to occassionally appreciating Vanilla Coke and Dr. Pepper I largely burnt out on soda in college and after.

I've always been a Coke fan. Never cared much for Pepsi, I always found it too sweet.

I drink Diet Coke. It took me forever to get used to them, but now that I have, I can't drink any normal soda with regularity. It makes my teeth feel horrible. (sticky, grimy, etc)

I'll drink Sobe, Snapple Elements, etc. when I'm in the mood and have the money, but I drink Diet Coke with far more consistancy.

I know it wasn't on the list, but water is my main drink. Followed by tea, juice and Sobe.

I thought of adding water/milk/mt. dew/dr. pepper or whatever... but that'd just complicate the poll and there'd be so many "other drinks" in one catagory that it'd be the dominate one by far and skew the results. Hehe. My favorite is actually Jamba Juice (used to be Orbitz), but it's kinda obscure.

Pepsi.

I love lemon snapple, Tea Cooler (Swiss farms, I don't know how wide spread that is.), and Wawa (another somewhat local to philadelphia place) ice tea (Lemon.)

::cheers for everyone but Pepsi::

Wait... I do love Pepsi Blue... hmm...

I'm so confused!

I prefer Mt Dew. But Pepsi would be my second choice, followed by Lipton tea, sweetened no lemon.

Pepsi blue is nasty. But I keep forgeting, you like feet too...

I like Sobe green tea, and the orange carrot elixir.

When I drink pop, I drink diet pepsi.

I agree, Pepsi blue is nasty! I only voted Pepsi because Lipton is distributed by them (at least in my area).

Here we say coke.

People from the north are weird. They come down here and say pop and we're like... uh... no.

On the other hand, they say coke and we ask which kind. Makes us look stupid to them. Oh well.

Tea would fall under Sobe because it's non-carbonated.

Pepsi, Mountain Dew: Code Red, Raspberry Iced Tea (especially Arizona and Snapple), Faygo. In that order.

I stopped drinking soda 2 years ago. Strictly water and the occasional juice, milk, alcohol, etc. I've had maybe 10 total sodas from mixed drinks since I gave it up.

I quit drinking soda last year when my roommate and I went on an insane workout schedule. Kept up with it pretty well except for a lapse in the spring where I drank like a 24 case of Dr. Pepper in a week. But since then, the last soda I drank was a jack and coke.

Crystal Pepsi must return.

The limited time orange mountain dew is good, it doesn't seem as carbonated as coke or pepsi.

Speaking of soda- has anyone tried that new DNL stuff?

Always (diet lemon!) Coca-Cola

I'm groggy and didn't realize the poll pertained to two different cola drinks and a catch all non-carbonated.

I started reading the preferences of Dr. Pepper, Lipton, and Sobe so I just started mumbling... They're all Pepsi (well Dr. Pepper is sometimes). Then it dawned on me. Idgit.

Pepsi pays my bills, but if I must drink a bottled beverage, it's Coke (can't pick Dr. Pepp ... which is Coke sometimes to)

I prefer coffee drinks and gallons of milk, but Coke has my vote.

As for Mt. Dew Live Wire, Pepsi has sold the hell out of it, so don't count on it being discontinued. It only seems less carbonated due to the higher ratio of citric acid and lower ratio of phosphoric acid.

7up DNL is tastes a little too fruity for my taste.

Someone would start a topic about work.

You think Coke has rancid ingredients? How do you like your phosphoric acid?

Pepsi uses a few vendors that are classified as "HazMat" disposal companies. All of the surplus phosphorous shells left over from 'Nam and Korea are cut in half and dropped into "distilled" water. Until the phosphates reach saturation. Those are lead casings they're cutting in half BTW.

Of the 17 Pepsi plants we supply, two I would consider clean. Only one requires its employees to wear hairnets and gloves.

I could make you absolutely sick with the things I've seen from Pepsi.

The 5 Coke plants I've been to are immaculate (employees and plant), and everyone is required to use all of the sanitary garb.

I'm sure thats true, but did you know, you can clean your whole car engine with coke syurp? if you have a nasty nasty stain in your clothes that nothing else will get it out, drop some coke syurp in the laundry load, and that stain wont be there i can go on it you want me to

You are referring to the caustic nature of Coke then right?

The acids your digestive systems produce make Coke whimper.

You can do the same with Pepsi, it just takes a bit longer because of cheap ingredients.

I did. It doesn't taste like 7 up as all, MUCH tastier. I vastly prefer it, which means you and everyone else will probably hate it.

It's green and caffinated. Reminds me of ghostbusters' slimer cooler when I was little.

I agree Crystal Pepsi was good. That sprite Remix crap is something I would use to induce vomitting in a little one that swallowed bleach. Never tried the DNL stuff.

And that's Ecto-cooler Klaive  it rocked.

Mine was only slightly carbonated, but then, I poured it in a glass and finished cooking my grilled shrimp for my fried rice, so it may have flattened when sitting. Regardless, it was delish.
