I bought this for my daughter yesterday, I recommend it to any parents. it's inexpensive, highly entertaining and was VERY easy for my 3 year old to work.

The controller is about $40.00 and the games are about $15.00. I don't let her play video games, but this is a cartoon thats interactive and there's nothing but learning. NOT a replacement for parents teaching kids, but it's something fun that they can play with and still learn. And the same game changes every time she plays, the answers arent always the same. Very neat.

Slave driver, I've been playing video games since I was in kindergarten or first grade, and I'm pretty sure I turned out alright.

Here's why I dont let my 3 year old play video games.

My cousins are now 15, twin boys. My aunt let nintendo babysit them, now they're lazy 24 hour a day video game playing worthless kids. All they do is come home from school and play video games all night. it might not be typical of kids raised on video games, but It's what I've seen first hand, so thats what I have to judge by. She can start playing them when shes about 5, for an hour or so a week to start, then we'll go from there.

Shit.

All I got for my three-year old neice is an old pair of rusty scissors and some marbles shaped like candy.

Do they have different cartoons for the kids to watch? My daughter isn't too fond of Dora and her mother can't STAND sponge bob...if they had Lion King or Pooh it would be great!

What rolls down stairs in numbers and pairs, rolls over your neighbor's dog?
What great for a snack and fits on your back? It's log, log, log.
It's log, it's log, it's big, it's heavy, it's wood.
It's log, it's log, it's better than bad, it's good!
Everyone wants a log, come on and buy a log!

Slinky! Every kid must have a slinky. Said kid must then watch it go down two or three stairs and either stop or fall on its side. Said kid must do this approximately 10 times before stretching said Slinky so far it will never go back to normal.

On a more serious note: I hear those leapfrog thingamajigs are really great for learning and comprehension for very young kids.

So, you whizzed on the electric fence didja?

On topic, Girls need their floofy dolls to play with and boys need guns, end of discussion.

On a more serious note, my cousins both are unhealthily hooked on their game boy advancedeses. I'm sure there's some educational value in those suckers.
