Spiked Shields

Any warriors out there have any experience with using spiked shields? I'd like to pick up one as I use shield bash and trample a good amount, but I'm not sure if it's worth training in the shield cman to compensate for the penalty.

Some people train to use spike shields some don't, and some use them even with the penalty. I am one of those where you won't catch me using a spiked shield to avoid the penalty or having to spend shield points to remove it, 20 points for 2 ranks just seems like too much to me. Of course I also don't plan on using any offensive shield maneuvers and don't have any trained up enough to use them well.

Mechanically, I don't think spikes are worth it. But I love my spiked shield (RP reasons), so I spent the 20 shield points to remove the penalty.
