I got hosed (sorta) in my money pool this week... we can't change picks after Thursday (garbage), so I was stuck with Dallas which I corrected here. I also changed my original pick from Denver to NE here, which I'd have done there as well if it weren't locked so early. I took the Giants there and probably should have changed it here, but didn't catch it Sunday morning. Kicking myself that I've got to go to the tie-breaker when I should have had it by two games. Missing a win for me this week. I've got myself at 8-4.

OK, week 9 final results are in. We're more than halfway through the regular season, (256 games total, we're 134 games in.) If anyone is curious, I use Open Office Calculator to do the spreadsheet. There's WAY more information in the season results sheet than what I share in the weekly final results. (Most of it has very little meaning to anyone without a general knowledge of basic statistics.) Most of what's there is just curiosity on my part, toying with the statistics functions within the spreadsheet program. But, if you want to see the spreadsheet, send me a message and I'll e-mail you the file. (The PC considers .ods files "invalid" or I'd have simply attached the file to this post.) Basically, what I don't share is the "Normal distribution" of wins, losses and total games, along with a "weighted wins" total, which is nothing more than multiplying your total wins by the total games you picked divided by the total games played. (In other words, if you missed games, you get penalized, if you haven't, you're at a 1:1 ratio relative to your total wins.)

So... that's that. I just thought someone might be interested. I got NO replies to a similar post last season... So... if nobody gives a shit... well, I don't have to email anyone anything. :)
