I'm gonna make an elven ranger and I want him to be an archer. Do archers need dodge? Should I only train in CM for a while to get mfire, smastery, wspec??? Any stat placement advice, would help...want him to be his best around 40.

I have a question also. If you just plan on sniping from the shadows, is it necessary to train in ambush?

Also, how the fuck do you kill rats, when you can't even hit them with an arrow? I'd have better luck just stabbing them with the arrows.

ambush helps with aiming, also works in the AS formula. Most rangers 1x ambush and 2x perception.

I heard on Psinet that ambush adds to Ranged AS after 40 ranks.

As a ranged ranger, its good to at least .75 dodge, 1x ambush, 2x ranged/perception/stalking and hiding
